"El currículo de la Escuela Alternativa ASPIRA (EAA) desde su concepción ha sufrido varios cambios. Como consecuencia sus docentes han confrontado dificultad en la interpretación e implementación de este. Muchos docentes cuestionan la eficiencia del modelo curricular y el beneficio para sus estudiantes. Por otra parte, lo complejo del modelo le ha provocado la necesidad de reeducar a su facultad. Esta articulación de eventos y procesos evidencian la dicotomía entre la teoría y la práctica en los modelos curriculares de educación alternativa, en especial en el de la EAA. Considerando las características de los estudiantes que sirve la EAA, el estudio tuvo como propósito indagar desde las voces de los docentes la forma en la que estos explican y adaptan el currículo y como esto se expresa en su práctica educativa. De igual forma, exploró cómo los documentos curriculares, los procesos de formación y de capacitación incidieron en su práctica educativa. Por último, indagó como los docentes acogieron los principios de la EAA y la manifestación de estos en su práctica educativa. En síntesis, la investigación buscó las convergencias y divergencias entre el currículo pensado y su puesta en práctica. El estudio demostró que existe una brecha entre el currículo intencional y el implementado en cuanto a ciertos componentes. Conforme se analiza la evolución de sus cambios, se encontró que a menos tiempo de implementación del componente, mayor resistencia y amplitud de la brecha. Los cambios por presiones externas y la diversidad del bagaje cultural, académico y profesional de sus docentes se presentan como factores que afectan la implementación. La innovación continua desde distintos frentes y componentes, limita la oportunidad de reflexión y la comprensión de los cambios. El acompañamiento continuo junto al desarrollo de procesos participativos sistemáticos resuena como uno de must do. El reflexionar sobre sus propios principios y revisitar sus bases y propósitos sería el primer paso a modo de retrospección. El desarrollo de comunidades de aprendizaje profesionales que, por una parte, respondan a las necesidades individuales de los docentes y de otra parte atiendan las áreas de oportunidad del modelo curricular implicará uno de sus principales desafíos".
