It was in the early morning and the sun was just rising when Alexis heard whispers in her ear. At first she thought she was dreaming. As she sat up she could hear the whispers clearer, "Get up! Jessica needs you! You must go help Jessica! Get up! Jessica's in trouble!" Alexis jumped out of bed and ran to Jessica's room barging through the door without knocking. Jessica was not in the room and the covers on her bed where a mess. Alexis ran into the hallway calling Jessica's name. The screaming woke Autumn and Lola as they came out of their rooms to see what the commotion was. Autumn wiped the sleep from her eyes as she stumbled down the hallway, "Alexis what's wrong!" Alexis was panicked with her hands shaking, "Where's Jessica? I can't find her!" Autumn tried to calm Alexis by offering suggestions that Jessica might be at the horse stables. Alexis wasn't listening and left Autumn standing in the hallway as she ran back to Jessica's room and placed her hands on Jessica's pillow in hopes of a vision. As her hands touched the pillow she saw Joe with a crazed look in his eye, he enter Jessica's room through her bedroom window, by climbing up a ladder. Joe had duct tape and bound Jessica's arms and legs so she could not run. As Jessica tried to scream Joe put a piece of duct tape over her mouth to muffle her sounds. He picked her up and carried her over his shoulder out of the window. Alexis woke and screamed, "Call the Police, Joe kidnapped her!" Lola ran down the hallway to grab the phone and call the Police. Autumn could not move it was like she was frozen in time. Alexis grabbed Autumn by the shoulders and looked her in the eye, "Autumn you have to stay with me! I need you to be strong right now! We will get her back!" Alexis grabbed Autumn by the wrist tightly and pulled her behind her down the stairs and out to the van. Alexis grabbed her gun and all the clips and put the holster on her hip. Alexis grabbed Autumn by the wrist again and drug her with her to the outside of Jessica window. The ladder was still there and leaning against the house. Lola yelled out, "The Police are on their way!" Alexis placed her shaking hand on the ladder as beads of sweat dripped from her forehead. Alexis had a vision of Joe carrying Jessica down the lane and out to the gravel road. Alexis grabbed Autumn's wrist again and took off running with Autumn having no choice but to follow. They reached the end of the driveway and Alexis got down on her hands and knees touching every piece of gravel running it through her fingers. Autumn snapped to, realizing that Alexis was using her visions to try and find Jessica and looked for something she could touch from Joe, Autumn yelled and pointed in the gravel, "Right there! That's the kind of cigarettes that Joe smokes! I bet that is his cigarette butt! Alexis grabbed it and had a vision of a red explorer with Indiana plates on it. She saw Joe open the hatchback and put Jessica face down covering her with a blanket, Jessica had a terrified look in her blue eyes that were full of tears. Joe drove in the direction of New Orleans. She woke from her vision as the Police were pulling up with their blue lights on. The Policemen pulled in front of Alexis and jumped out of the car. Alexis ran to them in a panic telling them that Jessica had been kidnapped by Joe and that he was taking her in to New Orleans. The police ask how she knew all of her information. When Alexis told them about the visions they laughed at her and called her crazy. They told Autumn that they would not even fill out a police report until she searched the plantation and was sure Jessica was not there somewhere. Alexis grabbed Autumn's arm and pulled her to the side, "The Police are not going to help us we have got to do this ourselves. Come on we got to go Jessica needs us! " Autumn and Alexis thanked them for coming out while cursing them under their breaths. Autumn and Alexis ran up the lane and back into the house. They got

Book Description
Federico Fellini is one of the most beloved and revered filmmakers of the twentieth century, having entertained audiences worldwide with his ability to breathe life into imagery normally confined to human memory and emotion. His insights into the world of dreams have contributed to his many famous cinematic creations, including La Dolce Vita, 8 1/2, and La Strada. A unique combination of memory, fantasy, and desire, this illustrated volume is a personal diary of Fellini's private visions and nighttime fantasies. Fellini, winner of four Oscars for Best Foreign Language Film, kept notebooks filled with unique sketches and notes from his dreams from the 1960s onward. This collection delves into his cinematic genius as it is captured in widely detailed caricatures and personal writings. This dream diary exhibits Fellini's deeply personal taste for the bizarre and the irrational. His sketches focus on the profound struggle of the soul and are tinged with humor, empathy, and insight. Fellini's Book of Dreams is an intriguing source of never-before-published writings and drawings, which reveal the master filmmaker's personal vision and his infinite imagination.

Book Description
The heartbreaking story of five generations of young people from a single African-and-American family pursuing an elusive dream of freedom. "Gut wrenching and incredible.”— Sabaa Tahir #1 New York Times bestselling author of An Ember in the Ashes "This novel is a remarkable achievement."—Kelly Barnhill, New York Times bestselling author and Newbery medalist "Beautifully epic."—Ibi Zoboi, author American Street and National Book Award finalist Dream Country begins in suburban Minneapolis at the moment when seventeen-year-old Kollie Flomo begins to crack under the strain of his life as a Liberian refugee. He's exhausted by being at once too black and not black enough for his African American peers and worn down by the expectations of his own Liberian family and community. When his frustration finally spills into violence and his parents send him back to Monrovia to reform school, the story shifts. Like Kollie, readers travel back to Liberia, but also back in time, to the early twentieth century and the point of view of Togar Somah, an eighteen-year-old indigenous Liberian on the run from government militias that would force him to work the plantations of the Congo people, descendants of the African American slaves who colonized Liberia almost a century earlier. When Togar's section draws to a shocking close, the novel jumps again, back to America in 1827, to the children of Yasmine Wright, who leave a Virginia plantation with their mother for Liberia, where they're promised freedom and a chance at self-determination by the American Colonization Society. The Wrights begin their section by fleeing the whip and by its close, they are then the ones who wield it. With each new section, the novel uncovers fresh hope and resonating heartbreak, all based on historical fact. In Dream Country, Shannon Gibney spins a riveting tale of the nightmarish spiral of death and exile connecting America and Africa, and of how one determined young dreamer tries to break free and gain control of her destiny.
