El proyecto realizado tiene como principal objetivo la creación de un nuevo diseño de estructura mecánica para un prototipo kart eléctrico, de manera que sea capaz de contener y sustentar todos sus elementos. Para el desarrollo de este objetivo se ha seguido la siguiente estructura: · Se ha efectuado una primera búsqueda de información del estado actual del mundo del karting, tanto de karts convencionales de gasolina como karts eléctricos. Estudiar la implantación del kart eléctrico en España y Europa, ha sido de utilidad para comprobar la competencia existente, la tecnología que desarrollan y las prestaciones de los vehículos de hoy en día. · Para completar la información, se ha realizado una visita al "Electric karting Salou" que ha sido de mucha ayuda para comprobar de primera mano el funcionamiento de estos vehículos, obtener datos experimentales de sus prestaciones en el circuito y observar los componentes eléctricos y mecánicos que usan. · El siguiente paso ha sido fijar unos requisitos que debe cumplir el diseño mecánico para lograr un comportamiento adecuado durante la conducción. · Llegados a este punto se ha empezado con el diseño del chasis o bastidor. El orden seguido es: decidir las medidas principales, elegir el material usado y crear una adaptación del chasis convencional. · Debido al cambio de chasis y de sistema de propulsión se ha modificado otros sistemas del kart como la dirección, la transmisión, la carrocería y se ha creado sujeciones para los componentes eléctricos. · Para corroborar que se ha logrado alcanzar los requisitos mencionados y para comprender mejor el funcionamiento mecánico del kart, se ha realizado una serie de análisis mecánicos y también estudios de algunos elementos. · Finalmente, se ha hecho un estudio económico y un estudio ambiental del diseño del prototipo planteado y se ha elaborado las conclusiones a las que se ha llegado mediante el proyecto.

The spectrum of sleep-disordered breathing ranges from primary snoring at one end to obstructive sleep apnea and central sleep apnea at the other end. The first chapter in this book provides current state of knowledge about the mechanisms of obstructive sleep apnea and central sleep apnea and reviews emerging therapies for these disorders.
