Among them is Professor David Daniels, a criminology professor who, among others, had a score to settle with the now deceased Dean. To clear his name, and the name of some of his closest friends, he uses his deductive skills in an attempt to discover who did the Dean in. He discovers a secret room hiding some of the nefarious activities of the Dean and implicating other professors and college administrators. Along the way, we meet a myriad of characters who frequent both the campus and the local bars of this beach community. We are also introduced to what goes on inside the head of Professor Daniels as he ponders random thoughts about sex, religion, politics, friendship, and Weber grills.
