Book Description
This book aims to contribute to the literature and aid in developing a theoretical and practical framework in the area of health and wellness tourism. With contributions and research from different countries using a practical approach, this book is an essential source for students, researchers and managers in the health and wellness tourism industry. Recently, there has been an increased interest in health and wellness due to greater life expectancy, aging populations, increasing levels of stress among others. In this context, the concepts of health, wellness, beauty, relaxation, and tourism can be combined to satisfy the needs of people seeking better quality-of-life. This has given rise to health and wellness tourism, a new market segment that contributes to employment and economic growth in the new economy. Health and wellness tourism involves two aspects: therapeutics, which seeks to cure certain diseases; and relaxation and leisure. As an alternative to traditional tourism, health and wellness tourism provides a new means of achieving regional and local development from a demographic, social, environmental and economic point-of-view. It contributes to tourist destinations’ economic growth, acting as a pillar to support other complementary activities. In short, health and wellness tourism contributes to employment growth and regional wealth, contributes to tourism seasonality, promotes quality in tourism destinations, helps create new tourist services with high value, promotes establishment of international cooperation networks, and yields a number of additional benefits. Featuring a variety of programs and initiatives from different regions, with an emphasis on thermal and thalassotherapy establishments, this volume sheds light on this emerging market segment and its implications for economic and policy development.

Book Description
The rapid development in the automotive sector and competition across the globe demands efficient manufacturing processes and systems, quality tools, process modeling techniques, etc. Process modeling and simulation (PMS) is one of the most important tasks which is commonly outsourced by the majority of Malaysian automotive supplier industries. The PMS services rendered by the external companies have several drawbacks such as poor conceptualization of the manufacturing process, miscommunication, high costs, etc. This research attempts to propose an efficient and uncomplicated PMS technique which can be used in-house. One of the main objectives of the research is to model and simulate manufacturing process in an automotive industry and analyze the system performance based on the new technique. A new approach has been adapted with the use of IDEF0 in iGrafx® Process for Six Sigma which includes an integrated feature, RapidDOE with MiniTab. Two major automotive industries in Malaysia (Case study A and Case study B) have been demonstrated successfully. The data from industries has been collected and translated into AS-IS static and dynamic models in iGrafx® Process for Six Sigma. The IDEF0 represent the AS-IS static model while the simulation model represent AS-IS dynamic model. By this the 'AS-IS' model was achieved without becoming too complex to a good degree of similarity at a discrepancy level of 2.8% for the case A and 0% to case study B. The interpretation of the generated statistical results has been used to improve the model using RapiDOE. The result from the statistical analysis provided a basis for the recommendation of the 'TO-BE' model. This scenario has been verified and recommended as a process modeling and simulation (PMS) template for the plant managers of the respective case studies as it has been proven to identify process system characteristic. It appears that this realistic investigation is the first in Malaysian automotive industries. As such, PMS techniques cannot be implemented due to several barriers in-house. Therefore current research has developed a novel framework to facilitate the implementation of PMS technique in Malaysian automotive industries. The framework is segmented into four major stages and the role in each stage has been simplified with recommendation of various methods and suggestions. The critical factors that govern the implementation PMS technique in Malaysian automotive industries were identified and analyzed using IDEF0 technique.

Book Description
Today all organizations around the world are trying to optimize the business process in the global market upon continuous improvement and total quality management in order t survive in a competitive market. Since there are huge costs to implement all tools and techniques of total quality management and it is not economical for any organization to apply all. Nine Total Quality Management's Critical Techniques (TQM's CTs) have been presented to implement in automotive industry. Each technique has a special application but on the other hand, some of them can be used for an assimilation objective and also some of them can be applied for more than one objective. The main objective of this study has been based on both internal and external customer satisfaction. In order to achieve the main objective, six significant criteria as descision making parameters have been proposed. The study has ranked the TQM's CTs as alternatives regarding to each criterion through one of the best and widely used decision making methods that is called Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) in ten selected Malaysia automotive companies. It has also determined an overall ranking of implementation of TQM's CTs with respect to all criteria and by considering their performance weight. The results of overall ranking of TQM's CTs are listed as follows: (1) Advanced Product Quality Planning Process (APQP); (2) Quality Function Deployment (QFD); (3) Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA); (4) Production Part Approval Process (PPAP); (5) Statistical Process Control (SPC); (6) Measurement Systems Analsysis (MSA); (7) Management and Planning (MP) tools; (8) Kaizen; (9) 5S. It has also been found the weigt of relationship of TQM's CTs. For example, FMEA and SPC, QFD and APQP, QFD and FMEA, and 5S and Kaizen have highest relationship rather than other critical techniques of TQM. Finally, an integrated implementation framework of the TQM's CTs with respect to their both relationship and performnce weight has been suggested to create awareness and to guide quality planning managers to have an effective implementetion of theses critical techniques of TQ M.

Book Description
In general, the purpose of this study is to analyze the different between Quality Management System (QMS) which are implemented in Automotive Suppliers (Proton). There are three difference system of QMS were practice by Automotive Suppliers, it is IS09000:2000, QS9000 and TS16949. There are three purposes in these studies. 1st, analyze which QMS more suitable to be implementing to automotive supplier. Second, determine the differences in each three system. Third, determine methods of implementation of QMS which are practiced at supplier in order to produce quality product. In this study, the author to analyzed in five categories and first are differences of clauses in three difference QMS. Second, to prepared question form related with implementation of QMS at suppliers. Third, studied the implementation of the document's procedure for each automotive supplier. Forth, to determined the control method in management and operation with combination of QMS, management process and efficiency measurement. Firth, to determine benefits found after implement the QMS. There are fiv1 things found in these studies. First, proven that in each three QMS found differences in clauses. Second, found that the TS 16949 is the most suitable system practiced in automotive industries. Third, found that similarity in documented procedure used at suppliers. Fourth, there are benefits to supplier, when they use QMS in their company. Fourth, found that overall suppliers used Key Performance Indicator (KP1) to control their organization, management and operation. From the study, the author was proposed two things have to develop. First, to construct flow chart for each documents procedure were use at suppliers. Seconds, to construct combination model, between QMS and KPL.
