He was the father of eight children. The family was living in North Carolina, ca. 1790 when the oldest child was born and was living in Yadkin River Valley, North Carolina, ca. 1808, when the sixth child was born. The family probably lived for a while in Tennessee, and then lived in Kentucky, ca. 1815, when the youngest child was born. They migrated to Indiana ca. 1816 and settled in Wayne County. He died after January 1831. Descendants listed lived in Indiana, Illinois, and elsewhere.
