Book Description
This book documents the scientific outcome of the Third International Workshop on Hybrid Systems, held in Ithaca, NY, USA, in October 1994. It presents a selection of carefully reviewed and revised full papers chosen from the workshop contribution and is the successor to LNCS 736, the seminal "Hybrid Systems" volume edited by Grossman, Nerode, Ravn, and Rischel. Hybrid systems are models for networks of digital and continuous devices, in which digital control programs sense and supervise continuous and discrete plants governed by differential or difference equations. The investigation of hybrid systems is creating a new and fascinating discipline bridging mathematics, computer science, and control engineering.

Book Description
The complex fuzzy soft set and its generalized hybrids are such effective structures which not only minimize the impediments of all complex fuzzy-like structures for dealing uncertainties but also fulfill all the parametric requirements of soft sets. This feature makes it a completely new mathematical tool for solving problems dealing with uncertainties. Smarandache conceptualized hypersoft set as a generalization of soft set as it transforms the single attribute function into a multi-attribute function. This generalization demands an extension of complex fuzzy soft-like structures to hypersoft structure for more precise results. In this study, hybrids of hypersoft set with complex fuzzy set and its generalized structures i.e. complex intuitionistic fuzzy set and complex neutrosophic set, are developed along with illustrative examples to address the demand of literature. Moreover, some of their fundamentals i.e. subset, equal sets, null set, absolute set etc. and theoretic operations i.e. compliment, union, intersection etc. are discussed.

Book Description
This book assembles new methods showing the automotive engineer for the first time how hybrid vehicle configurations can be modeled as systems with discrete and continuous controls. These hybrid systems describe naturally and compactly the networks of embedded systems which use elements such as integrators, hysteresis, state-machines and logical rules to describe the evolution of continuous and discrete dynamics and arise inevitably when modeling hybrid electric vehicles. They can throw light on systems which may otherwise be too complex or recondite. Hybrid Systems, Optimal Control and Hybrid Vehicles shows the reader how to formulate and solve control problems which satisfy multiple objectives which may be arbitrary and complex with contradictory influences on fuel consumption, emissions and drivability. The text introduces industrial engineers, postgraduates and researchers to the theory of hybrid optimal control problems. A series of novel algorithmic developments provides tools for solving engineering problems of growing complexity in the field of hybrid vehicles. Important topics of real relevance rarely found in text books and research publications—switching costs, sensitivity of discrete decisions and there impact on fuel savings, etc.—are discussed and supported with practical applications. These demonstrate the contribution of optimal hybrid control in predictive energy management, advanced powertrain calibration, and the optimization of vehicle configuration with respect to fuel economy, lowest emissions and smoothest drivability. Numerical issues such as computing resources, simplifications and stability are treated to enable readers to assess such complex systems. To help industrial engineers and managers with project decision-making, solutions for many important problems in hybrid vehicle control are provided in terms of requirements, benefits and risks.

Book Description
This book is part of the book-series dedicated to the advances of neutrosophic theories and their applications, started by the author in 1998. Its aim is to present the last developments in the field. This is the second extended and improved edition of Neutrosophic Perspectives (September 2017; first edition was published in June 2017). For the first time, we now introduce: — Neutrosophic Duplets and the Neutrosophic Duplet Structures; — Neutrosophic Multisets (as an extension of the classical multisets); — Neutrosophic Spherical Numbers; — Neutrosophic Overnumbers / Undernumbers / Offnumbers; — Neutrosophic Indeterminacy of Second Type; — Neutrosophic Hybrid Operators (where the heterogeneous t-norms and t-conorms may be used in designing neutrosophic aggregations); — Neutrosophic Triplet Weak Set (and con-sequently we have renamed the previous Neutros-ophic Triplet Set (2014-2016) as Neutrosophic Triplet Strong Set in order to distinguish them); — Neutrosophic Perfect Triplet; — Neutrosophic Imperfect Triplet; — Neutrosophic triplet relation of equivalence; — Two Neutrosophic Friends; — n Neutrosophic Friends; — Neutrosophic Triplet Loop; — Neutrosophic Triplet Function; — Neutrosophic Modal Logic; — and Neutrosophic Hedge Algebras. The Refined Neutrosophic Set / Logic / Probability were introduced in 2013 by F. Smarandache. Since year 2016 a new interest has been manifested by researchers for the Neutrosophic Triplets and their corresponding Neutros-ophic Triplet Algebraic Structures (introduced by F. Smarandache & M. Ali). Subtraction and Division of Neutrosophic Numbers were introduced by F. Smarandache - 2016, and Jun Ye – 2017. We also present various new applications in: neutrosophic multi-criteria decision-making, neutrosophic psychology, neutrosophic geographical function (the equatorial virtual line), neutrosophic probability in target identification, neutrosophic dynamic systems, neutrosophic quantum computers, neutrosophic theory of evolution, and neutrosophic triplet structures in our everyday life. Keywords: neutrosophy, neutrosophic duplets, neutrosophic duplet structures, neutrosophic multisets, neutrosophic hedge algebras, neutrosophic multi-criteria decision-making, neutrosophic psychology, neutrosophic geographical function, neutrosophic probability in target identification,

Book Description
This book describes a set of hybrid fuzzy models showing how to use them to deal with incomplete and/or vague information in different kind of decision-making problems. Based on the authors’ research, it offers a concise introduction to important models, ranging from rough fuzzy digraphs and intuitionistic fuzzy rough models to bipolar fuzzy soft graphs and neutrosophic graphs, explaining how to construct them. For each method, applications to different multi-attribute, multi-criteria decision-making problems, are presented and discussed. The book, which addresses computer scientists, mathematicians, and social scientists, is intended as concise yet complete guide to basic tools for constructing hybrid intelligent models for dealing with some interesting real-world problems. It is also expected to stimulate readers’ creativity thus offering a source of inspiration for future research.

Book Description
This book is a collection of contributions defining the state of current knowledge and new trends in hybrid systems – systems involving both continuous dynamics and discrete events – as described by the work of several well-known groups of researchers. Hybrid Dynamical Systems presents theoretical advances in such areas as diagnosability, observability and stabilization for various classes of system. Continuous and discrete state estimation and self-triggering control of nonlinear systems are advanced. The text employs various methods, among them, high-order sliding modes, Takagi–Sugeno representation and sampled-data switching to achieve its ends. The many applications of hybrid systems from power converters to computer science are not forgotten; studies of flexible-joint robotic arms and – as representative biological systems – the behaviour of the human heart and vasculature, demonstrate the wide-ranging practical significance of control in hybrid systems. The cross-disciplinary origins of study in hybrid systems are evident. Academic researchers and graduate students interested in hybrid and switched systems need look no further than Hybrid Dynamical Systems for a single source which will bring them up to date with work in this area from around the world.

Book Description
The purpose of this paper is to introduce new aggregation operators based on logarithmic operations and to develop a multi-criteria decision-making approach to study the interaction between the input argument under the single valued neutrosophic (SVN) environment. The main advantage of the proposed operator is that it can deal with the situations of the positive interaction, negative interaction or non-interaction among the criteria, during decision-making process.
