He was thought of by many as a god of the plains. The Major has a young daughter, and his best friend Jake, an unwritten partner, has a son only a few years older. After Jake and his wife pass on, Matt is raised by the Major and his wife. When the Major's wife passed away a few years later, he realizes that his daughter and this boy he thought of as a son are showing an interest in each other. Cindy always knew that Matt was the love of her life. Matt has recently come to the realization that he is falling in love with Cindy. The Major's reaction to this knowledge puts into motion events that no one could predict. The story takes you through gunfights, friendships, love and searches through rugged terrain with many obstacles. It also explores the deep feelings felt at the loss of ones who can never be replaced. Travel with these men through dangers and heartaches to find Matt and in doing so, find there is more to life than the ranch.
