Sie verflucht ihren Ehemann und zwingt ihn, zum Meer zurückzukehren, nach diesem Fischlein zu rufen und mindestens einen neuen Trog von ihm zu ver-langen, da der alte schon ganz kaputt ist. Der Fischer tut, wie ihm geheissen. Das Fischlein taucht tatsächlich auf und verspricht, seinen Wunsch zu erfüllen. Doch die Frau ist wieder unzufrieden und so geht das Märchen weiter...
