Book Description
Thirteen year old Danny Longhouse is a half breed living with his recently widowed Anglo mother in a new subdivision in Montana on the outskirts of a small town. Danny wants nothing to do with his Blackfoot heritage. Along with his chubby with-an-attitude buddy, Wesley (12), an older than her thirteen years girl/friend, Emily, a neighbor Rafe (15) and his little sister, Nicole (10) these five have the adventure of their young lives. They stumble onto an ancient Indian Spirit in the hollowed out trunk of a tree. The ancient old Indian known simply as Old Man turns out to be Danny's great, great, great, great, great grandfather. He transports them 180 years back in time to help him rescue his granddaughter from the evil Indian, Cha-Kwe-Kah which means "Face of Death." After many dangerous encounters with Indian giants and ghost renegades as well as stampeding buffalo and croc-demons, Danny and the others along with Old Man's other granddaughter Girl Who Rides Horses and his grandson Brave Star go up against Cha-Kwe-Kah. A tremendous battle ensues. In the end danny meets up with the spirit of his deceased Blackfoot father.

Book Description
The nature of qualitative inquiry means that researchers constantly have to deal with the unexpected, and all too often this means coping with the presence of danger or risk. This innovative and lively analysis of danger in various qualitative research settings is drawn from researchers' reflexive accounts of their own encounters with 'danger'. An original take on the ever-popular topic of the ethics of research, this pioneering book expands the common sense use of the term to encompass not just physical danger, but emotional, ethical and professional danger too, with the authors paying special attention to the gendered forms of danger implicit in the research process. From the physical danger of researching the night club 'bouncer' scene to the ethical dangers of participant observation in an old people's home, these international contributions provide researchers and students with thought provoking insights into the importance of a well chosen research design.

Book Description
Danger: Diabolik (1968) was adapted from a comic that has been a social phenomenon in Italy for over fifty years, featuring a masked master criminal—part Fantômas, part James Bond—and his elegant companion Eva Kant. The film partially reinvents the character as a countercultural prankster, subverting public officials and the national economy, and places him in a luxurious and futuristic underground hideout and Eva in a series of unforgettable outfits. A commercial disappointment on its original release, Danger: Diabolik's reputation has grown along with that of its director, Mario Bava, the quintessential cult auteur, while the pop-art glamour of its costumes and sets have caught the imagination of such people as Roman Coppola and the Beastie Boys. This study examines its status as a comic-book movie, including its relation both to the original fumetto and to its sister-film, Barbarella. It traces its production and initial reception in Italy, France, the U.S., and the UK, and its cult afterlife as both a pop-art classic and campy "bad film" featured in the final episode of Mystery Science Theatre 3000.
