Un programme d'enseignement de la communication évolutif se développe à Rouen pour les étudiants de 3ème cycle (E3C) de médecine générale, avec des outils complémentaires répondant à des objectifs pédagogiques. Le premier est la Consultation simulée avec rétroaction (CoSiR) suivant la séquence briefing, consultation simulée filmée entre un comédien-patient et un E3C, rétroaction avec un enseignant formé en communication et le comédien. Contexte : Une bonne communication professionnelle est essentielle en médecine générale. Elle améliore la santé et la relation médecin-patient. Une proposition de formation à la communication pendant l’internat s’élabore à Rouen : la CoSiR qui comprend une consultation filmée simulée entre un interne-médecin et un comédien professionnel-patient, et une rétroaction immédiate. L’objectif était de recueillir le vécu des internes participant à une CoSiR. Méthode : Une étude qualitative a été réalisée par entretiens semi-dirigés. Elle s’intègre dans le cadre d’une recherche action intitulée “journée CoSiR”. L’échantillon a été constitué de manière raisonnée. Le consentement à participer et être filmé était recueilli. Les entretiens étaient anonymés, retranscrits, codés et analysés. Résultats : Treize entretiens ont été menés. La communication était décrite comme essentielle et d’une importance renforcée dans la qualité de la relation médecin-patient. Des outils de langage verbal, non verbal et paraverbal étaient utilisés instinctivement. Acquérir de l’expérience et se former précocement et régulièrement à la communication était jugé nécessaire. La satisfaction des internes pour la CoSiR était unanime. La rétroaction semblait être le moment clé pour découvrir les aspects de sa communication et améliorer ses habiletés. Discussion : La CoSiR est intéressante dans son format et contenu. Elle permet de prendre conscience que la communication professionnelle n'est pas innée et constitue une compétence qui s’acquiert avec des formations et de l’expérience. Elle doit s’intégrer avec d’autres outils d’enseignement et se confronter aux réalités universitaires, logistiques et financières. Elle apporte par la rétroaction une meilleure connaissance de «soi » et permet de dépister des difficultés psychologiques.

Embodied conversational agents (ECAs) are autonomous software entities with human-like appearance and communication skills. These agents can take on a number of different roles, for example, as an assistant, tutor, information provider, or customer service agent. They may also simply represent or entertain a user. The precise nature and benefits of different characteristics of ECAs requires careful investigation. Questions range from the function of an eyebrow raise to mechanisms for assessing and improving ECA trustworthiness. This book will help experts and designers in the specification and development of applications incorporating ECAs.
