Contexte : Les dépenses de santé liées à la consommation de médicaments sont en hausse ces dernières années et le médecin généraliste est le principal prescripteur en France. Les médecins ressentent une attente de prescription de médicaments lors des consultations. Ainsi, pour beaucoup, il existe une équation consultation = prescription. Pourtant, il a été décrit que les adultes sont prêts à accepter une consultation sans prescription pour eux même. L'objectif de ce travail est d'étudier l'opinion des parents lors de consultation sans prescription pour leur enfant. Méthode : Il s'agit d'une étude qualitative avec analyse phénoménologique de 13 entretiens individuels, semi-dirigés de type compréhensifs. Une double analyse a été réalisée par un second chercheur. Le recrutement a été effectué dans les salles d'attente de cabinets de médecine générale dans le Nord, dans les salles d'attente de la PMI de Denain-Bouchain. Certains parents ont été recrutés par le bouche à oreille. Résultats : Les parents ont plusieurs attentes lors des consultations mais la prescription de médicaments n'est pas l'attente principale. L'ordonnance de médicaments est vécue comme une habitude dont ils pourraient se passer si la consultation donne assez d'explications sur l'état de santé de l'enfant et si les parents sont rassurés. La CSP est bien vécue si la relation médecin-parent est de bonne qualité. Conclusion : Lors d'une consultation avec un médecin traitant, les parents ont des attentes multiples. Ainsi une consultation sans prescription est acceptée par les parents si et seulement si leurs attentes sont explorées. Les consultations doivent donc être assez longues pour répondre à ces attentes. Le déterminant principal de la bonne acceptation de la CSP est la qualité de la relation avec le médecin.

This report summarizes information received from 106 malaria-endemic countries and from malaria control partners. It highlights continued progress made towards meeting international targets for malaria control to be achieved by 2010 and by 2015. International funds disbursed for malaria control increased from $200 million in 2004 to $1.5 billion in 2009. Since 2008, more than 289 million insecticide-treated mosquito nets have been delivered to sub-Saharan Africa, enough to protect three quarters of the 765 million persons at risk of the disease. Over the last decade, 11 countries in the Africa Region and 32 countries in other regions showed reductions of 50% or greater in either confirmed malaria cases or malaria admissions and deaths. Malaria control is making a major contribution to reducing mortality in children less than 5 years old and to attaining the health-related Millennium Development Goals.

This book is devoted to the neuropsychological description of childhood epilepsy, a neurolo- cal condition that constitutes one of the most prevalent forms of chronic and disabling childhood illnesses. Indeed, one child out of 20 experiences one or more seizures before the age of 5, and one in a hundred develops epilepsy as a chronic disorder. Approximately half of these children with epilepsy display academic difficulties and/or behavioral disorders.
