L'objectif de ce travail est d'explorer une des composantes des systèmes de transport intelligent : la communication inter véhicules. Dans ce cadre, plusieurs études théoriques ont été effectuées pour évaluer les performances d'un système de communication basé sur une nouvelle technologie dite Ultra Large Bande (ULB). D'autres études théoriques ont été effectuées pour tester la possibilité d'obtenir un système ULB à accès multiple en utilisant des fonctions orthogonales. Après l'étape de simulation, une maquette a été réalisée pour procéder aux premiers tests qui visent à évaluer les performances de notre système en fonction de la forme d'onde, du type de modulation, de la portée entre l'émetteur et le récepteur et de l'antenne utilisée. Afin de conforter l'étude théorique présentée, des tests supplémentaires utilisant un prototype d'un système ULB basé sur l'impulsion monocycle et la modulation antipodale ont démontré la faisabilité de la technique pour une communication inter véhicules.

La technologie Ultra Large Bande est une technique de modulation radio basée sur l'émission d’impulsions de très courte durée assurant une transmission (sans porteuse) robuste dans un canal multi trajets dense avec un débit important et une bonne résolution. Elle offre une bonne et unique opportunité pour hybrider les fonctionnalités de localisation et de communications numériques sans fil. Les technologies de transmission et de localisation actuellement mises en œuvre ne permettent d’atteindre ni une précision de localisation suffisante, ni de réaliser une communication à débit moyen avec une portée importante. L’objectif du travail est d’explorer une technique basée sur des nouvelles formes d’ondes de Gegenbauer modifiées (MGF), assurant l’accès multiple pour des applications de détection d’obstacles (radar), de positionnement (dans les zones non couverte par le GPS) et de transmission de données pour les transports terrestres. Le système multi-bandes ultra large bande proposé dans cette thèse doit exploiter efficacement le gabarit de puissance imposé par les organismes internationaux comme la FCC et l’ETSI.

This book presents a psychoanalysis of technoscience. Basic concepts and methods developed by Freud, Jung, Bachelard and Lacan are applied to case histories (palaeoanthropology, classical conditioning, virology). Rather than by disinterested curiosity, technoscience is driven by desire, resistance and the will to control. Moreover, psychoanalysis focusses on primal scenes (Dubois' quest for the missing link, Pavlov's discovery of the conditioned reflex) and opts for triangulation: comparing technoscience to "different scenes" provided by novels, so that Dubois's work is compared to missing link novels by Verne and London and Pavlov's experiments with Skinner's Walden Two, while virology is studied through the lens of viral fiction.
