Book Description
One of the most persistent slogans of Reformed theology is that it is "reformed and always being reformed." But what does this slogan mean? This volume gathers thirteen essays written by a younger generation of Reformed theologians who teach and write on five different continents, who together offer this work in Christian systematic theology. Unlike many other works of Reformed theology, however, this book is framed by pressing contextual issues and questions (instead of traditional loci). Each chapter engages classical doctrine, but does so through the lens of contemporary, lived experience in particular contexts. The result is not a theology where doctrines are "applied" to contexts, but an approach where doctrine and context mutually shape one another. The contributors take seriously the notion that theology is "always being reformed" and is always partial, ever on the way--hence it requires conversation partners beyond the Reformed family of faith. The result is a study in Reformed theology that is thoroughly ecumenical.

Book Description
As its name implies, the Reformed tradition grew out of the 16th century Protestant Reformation. The Reformed churches consider themselves to be the Catholic Church reformed. The movement originated in the reform efforts of Huldrych Zwingli (1484-1531) of Zurich and John Calvin (1509-1564) of Geneva. Although the Reformed movement was dependent upon many Protestant leaders, it was Calvin's tireless work as a writer, preacher, teacher, and social and ecclesiastical reformer that provided a substantial body of literature and an ethos from which the Reformed tradition grew. Today, the Reformed churches are a multicultural, multiethnic, and multinational phenomenon. The second edition of the Historical Dictionary of the Reformed Churches contains information on the major personalities, events, facts, movements, and beliefs of the Reformed churches. This is done through a list of acronyms and abbreviations, a chronology, an introductory essay, appendixes, a bibliography, and over 800 cross-referenced dictionary entries on leaders, personalities, events, facts, movements, and beliefs of the Reformed churches.

Book Description
According to Willis, confusion about God's holiness is due to the mistake of treating transcendence and immanence as opposites and subsuming holiness almost exclusively under God's transcendence. To correct this view, Willis begins with the cross and resurrection, where the transcending One is freely immanent to fulfill God's covenanting purposes. God, says Willis, is not so much "the wholly other" as "the Holy Other" who confronts us as purifying love. Willis looks in detail at several facets of holiness--love, simplicity, communion, beauty. He shows that when we recognize beauty to be an essential aspect of holiness, we can better reconsider frequently given definitions of the glory and the sovereignty of God and can better understand something of the awe-filled love that this beauty inspires. Finally, Willis explores how the holiness of God provides the basis for the life of Christian faith and hope in today's world. --From publisher's description.

Book Description
This book showcases the contribution Australian contemporary glass artist David Wright has made to Australian art and international glassmaking. From 1970 until 2014, David Wright produced hundreds of high quality art glass windows for Australian public, private and sacred spaces, including significant national churches, chapels, and synagogues, yet little scholarly research on the artist and his place in Australian art history exists. Including the first catalogue raisonné ever produced on the artist, combined with a close examination of his opus, his influences, manufacturing methods and personal history, this book demonstrates for the first time the extraordinary contribution David Wright made to Australian art and contemporary glassmaking.
