It is chiefly anomalies of convergence, faulty tendencies of the ocular muscles, and the needs of the increasing neurasthenic class of patients that are kept in View. In these last cases, spectacles cause discomfort, how ever perfectly refraction may be corrected, unless the lenses are also suitably placed in respect of convergence, and sometimes even then, for a time.
