Book Description
Ritual was a cradle of archaic philosophy in India. Mythological concepts were synthesized in the ritual context, and its results gave a new interpretation to the rituals themselves and to the life of man. The Agnihotra ritual is experienced differently by those who know what it is, and life is experienced differently by those who carry out the Agnihotra. A ritual presents us with a riddle which actually has no answer. What matters is not the intrinsic meaning, but the process in which the meaning is generated. It is true that ritual is pure activity without meaning or goal, but it is not meaningless in the sense that it generates riddles, and eventually meanings. This study is a philological study of the Vedic mythology, while also being a contribution to ritual studies. (Series: Nijmegen Buddhist and Asian Studies - Vol. 2)

Book Description
This is a volume in the series, The Secret History of the Vedas. This series is an original, idiosyncratic look at the Rg Veda and Vedas as a whole. The purpose of this series, The Secret History of the Vedas, is to unravel and discover the true meaning of the Vedic deities and to reveal the hidden meaning of the Vedas. There are three great themes in the Vedic dharma --- Existence, Bliss, and Consciousness. This volume is an examination of Consciousness, as concentrated in the fire of the Vedic force of Agni, the third prong in the Vedic Dharma. This is a comprehensive, in-depth, examination of the premier Vedic deity, Agni, and his many forms. Agni is Fire. Agni has many fires. That Fire is examined thoroughly and exhaustively, referencing citations from the Vedas, Brahmanas, and Upanishads. They all describe the Fires of Agni in all its many forms. This book explains it all and shows just how comprehensive is the reach of this Vedic force and concerns the “aspects” of Agni, those specific fires which define and provide the inner essence of this mighty Vedic force. The “manifestations” of Agni is how he makes his presence in this material world. This book is a complete description of both, the inner essence of Agni and how he appears in our world.

Book Description
The book God of Fire is based on the Vedas, a collection of hymns and other religious texts composed in India nearly four thousand years ago.Written in a very obscure style and filled with metaphors, the Vedas hide great secrets and wisdom about humanity and spirituality in particular. It was believed that those who followed the Vedic scriptures would benefit from divine protection and prosperity. Nonetheless, apart from these religious beliefs, the formulas contained in the Vedas are considered to be sacred by the Vedic religion and have allowed the development of many sciences that promote health and prosperity. Based on these same formulas and hidden messages, the information portrayed here will guide into the main idea behind enlightenment, and the understanding of how it actually combines with many other aspects of our life, also related to our emotions, wealth and success. With this purpose in mind, several Vedic scriptures and quotes are here analyzed, combined and organized to portray a specific message to be used within such purpose. Although the Vedas are not here entirely transcribed, the codes that empower the spirit were filtered and connected but also reinterpreted to facilitate a better understanding of the most important principles. In this way, this book simplifies and modernizes four thousand years of wisdom into powerful chapters that can change the way we look at life and ourselves.

Book Description
This is an introduction to philosophy but with a difference. Through out the book metaphysical issues are shown to be rooted in the history of philosophy. At the same time the author`s tratment of each issues leads right into the contemporary situation. Philosophy can scarcely be defined, the author says, but philosophizing can be `shown`. The various section of the book show in a fresh way what such philosophizing can be like.
