Book Description
This study attempted to provide practical and effective advice to Korean Presbyterian churches (KPCs) for adapting Holistic Healing Ministry (HHM), not as an optional ministry but a necessary ministry for all local churches through the exact biblical concept about HHM. Through the analysis of survey for HHM conducted in many congregations of KPCs, this thesis evaluated the present reality of HHM ministered to KPCs, examined holistic health conditions of the congregations of KPCs, and identified which domain of health - physical, emotional, or spiritual - KPCs are currently interested in. Moreover, this thesis drew up a plan for KPCs to develop a team ministry, in cooperation with hospitals that share the same vision and goals of providing HHM to their congregational members and patients.

Findings and conclusions. From the results of the study, the researcher made the following conclusions (1) teaching divine healing to the treatment group produced an increase in the knowledge of the biblical foundations of healing, and this caused the congregation of YMC to be involved in this ministry; (2) if the congregation experiences healing themselves, they will rediscover the concept of the church as a healing community, and that experience increased their appreciation of the contributions of a healing ministry to the life of the church, and (3) there was a relationship between the biblical knowledge of divine healing and the experienced practice of it to the deepening of the members' faith and their knowledge of God.

Book Description
Since the 1990s, Korean Church has grown to an unprecedented extent in the world. Thousands of new members were educated in the church and began their religious lives as believers. But, today, Korean churches are heading toward a decline after the period of stagnation. They have not received a positive reputation they deserved. There are many reasons for this, but I think one of the main reasons is the result of poor care of new members. The seemingly positive growth of churches was possible due to the large influx of the new members' despite of the lack of proper education and care for new members, but the growth and maturity of faith, which new members should have, have rarely achieved. Korean churches that provide a new member class used to think that it was enough when a new member finishes his/her class. However, the churches should have considered what our new members really needed, and whether they could grow in faith only through just onetime new member class. This ministry will also find that it is not just a responsibility of pastors or church leaders who were in charge of new members, but also the responsibility of all to share among all members in the church. And when the existing congregation is always growing up and becoming mature in their faith, new members can grow up emulating them. New members are spiritual children. The church has to teach them everything from the beginning to the end and be with them and take care of them. It cannot be just a few hours of education, but just like a mother-child relationship, the church needs to be with new members. Only then new members will be able to settle in the church and grow up in it with a sense of security and trust.

Book Description
"This project is about the 'Survey on the Minister's Understanding of the Healing Ministry' in Korea. The researcher gathered the questionnaires from 560 ministers. The questionnaire was composed of 25 questions on the subject of the influence of divine healing, concern of the pastor on divine healing, healing education, experiences of healing and healing method, and obstacles in divine healing. Most of the pastors answered that the healing ministry influences greatly on church growth. More than half of the pastors who approved the importance of healing answered that they preach healing in the church very often, pray for the sick, and encourage the laymen to pray for the sick. The [other] half of the pastors know the importance of healing in the church, but do not practice it ... Most of the pastors answered that they did not get any education on healing at the Bible Colleges. So they suggested that it should be included in the curriculum of the Bible Colleges. Several pastors answered that the traditions and doctrines of their denomination still hinder their healing ministry. The researcher learned that the pastors should emphasize more on healing ministry"--Abstract.
