Book Description
Excerpt from California and Western Medicine, Vol. 38: Official Publication of the California Medical Association, Accredited Representative of the Nevada State Medical Association; January to June, 1933 The purpose of this paper is to set forth in simple form the fundamental facts concerning the Aschheim Zondek test for pregnancy, and its modification by Friedman. The use of the test in the diagnosis and treatment of hydatid mole and chorio epithelioma will also be briefly reviewed. The Friedman test is so simple and practical in technique and interpretation that it is being used by an increasingly large number of workers, many of whom are not especially trained in laboratory procedure. We will consider the various limiting factors and sources of error with their relative importance to the dependability of the test.
