A brigade was formed consisting of the Twenty-fifth, Twenty-ninth and Thirtieth regiments, First Georgia Battalion Sharpshooters, and Fourth Louisiana Battalion. They formed part of Colonel C. C. Wilson's Brigade, W. H. T. Walker's Division, D. H. Hill's Corps at Chickamauga. This regiment fought at the siege of Jackson, the Atlanta campaign, Chattanooga, the desperate battles in Tennessee, and the last ditch struggle in the Carolinas.
