Second - Their great respect and veneration for old age, and for those who left the homes of their childhood and struck for life and fortune in the great unknown western wilds, and with only brave hearts and strong arms, assisted so much in the growth and development of this great western country, undergoing trials and hardships always incident to frontier life and wholly unknown to the young and rising generation of this country.
