Book Description
Systems thinking has become a platform to discuss science, living organisms, sociology, and psychology, and philosophy. A systems theory starts with the function of a system and then identifies the network of the subsystems to support the function. In addition, philosophical subsystems are the underlying propositions that can be used to support the argument for a reality. Therefore, the reality is also a complex of networks of subsystems of many levels. In this book, they are described as a complex system that has a set of objects which together form the patterns of organization. Each reality is represented as an organic form or pattern consisting of objects. We will encounter the principle of Oneness in the logic structure in Tao philosophy as a way to overcome the traditional dualistic interpretation of the Tao Te Ching. We show that Tao philosophy, along with many other ancient philosophies, may be understood in terms of systems. Systems view is another good way to understand the logic in Tao philosophy.

Book Description
There are many parallels between the ideas of Tao Te Ching, written 2,500 years ago by Lao Tzu, and those of Systems Thinking, which has come into prominence with the advent of modern personal computers, through people like Jay W. Forrester, and other thinkers such as Donella Meadows and Fritjof Capra. This book invites us to consider certain timeless wisdoms related to Systems Thinking, and provides us with a few points to explore as we face major challenges for resolving issues we confront for our future. Implicit in all of this are the roles we play in what our world has become, and how we could change or improve if we become more aware of who we are individually and collectively as a species. This book also contains a complete English version of Tao Te Ching, by Lao Tzu, that has been translated by the author. The book has also been updated to match passages and commentaries for easier reading. Commentaries have been carefully researched and include hyperlinks to more than a hundred sources in the Bibliography of Links and References for further exploration.

This is not just another English version of the Tao Te Ching, this is the new English version that makes good sense to readers for the very first time in the history. While the Tao Te Ching is a famous ancient Chinese classic and has substantially influenced the lives of so many people over the centuries, it is also one of the most profound and misinterpreted spiritual and philosophical text. Some of its chapters may appear confusing and difficult to understand. What can you do when you just can not make sense of them? Yuhui Liang, a Tao Te Ching expert, has found many misinterpretations in many English and Chinese versions of The Tao Te Ching. After years of research and study, he has made significant progress in three important areas and successfully corrected all the misinterpretations. Book Description
Revered for millennia in the Chinese spiritual tradition of the Tao Te Ching, this poetic translation of an ancient Taoist text comes alive for the modern reader Witty, engaging and spiced with the lyricism of poetry, Chuang Tzu's Taoist insights in the Inner Chapters are timely and eternal. The only sustained section of text widely believed to be the work of Chuang Tzu himself, these chapters date to the 4th century B.C.E and are profoundly concerned with spiritual ecology. With bold and startling prose, David Hinton's vital translation is surprisingly modern, making this ancient text from the golden age of Chinese philosophy come alive for contemporary readers. The Inner Chapters' fantastical passages offer up a wild menagerie of characters, freewheeling play with language, and surreal humor. Interwoven with Chuang Tzu's sharp instruction on the Tao are short stories that are often rough and ribald, rich with satire and paradox.
