Intelligence analysis is central to intelligence. It is the basis for many staff activities, including planning, and occurs across the entire Army. Among other results, analysis facilitates commanders and other decision makers' ability to visualize the operational environment (OE), organize their forces, and control operations to achieve their objectives.
