Book Description
Students of antiquity often see ancient Turkey as a bewildering array of cultural complexes. Ancient Turkey brings together in a coherent account the diverse and often fragmented evidence, both archaeological and textual, that forms the basis of our knowledge of the development of Anatolia from the earliest arrivals to the end of the Iron Age. Much new material has recently been excavated and unlike Greece, Mesopotamia, and its other neighbours, Turkey has been poorly served in terms of comprehensive, up-to-date and accessible discussions of its ancient past. Ancient Turkey is a much needed resource for students and scholars, providing an up-to-date account of the widespread and extensive archaeological activity in Turkey. Covering the entire span before the Classical period, fully illustrated with over 160 images and written in lively prose, this text will be enjoyed by anyone interested in the archaeology and early history of Turkey and the ancient Near East.

Book Description
This book aims to open the doors to this multidimensional world by focusing on the conceptual framework of gastronomy and providing readers with new intellectual frameworks and perspectives. The content of the book has been designed considering the current gastronomy trends worldwide. In this context, initially, neglected concepts in gastronomy literature were identified, and their shape and content characteristics were explained by drawing on existing literature. For instance, concepts such as gastronomy museology, gastronomy literacy, and gastronomic value typology were addressed independently for the first time in this book, and the overall framework of these concepts was established. Additionally, some commonly used concepts in gastronomy literature were reinterpreted and defined. The book consists of sixteen interconnected chapters. These chapters, focusing on the specific features of global gastronomy concepts, are structured to appeal to academics, students, professionals in the industry, employees of local governments, and individuals interested in gastronomy. We are grateful to the authors and publishing staff who contributed to the preparation and publication of this book, as we believe it would contribute to the gastronomy literature and provide opportunities for a better understanding of the conceptual framework of gastronomy.

Book Description
Migration is conceived differently in Europe compared with countries like the US, Canada or Australia. International Innovation Networks and Knowledge Migration confronts traditional views on migration with modern theories of brain circulation and innovation networks, showing that migration leads to mutual benefits for both the home and host countries This new volume brings together several case studies and empirical in-depth analyses which are constructed from the strong migration relationship between Turkey and Germany that has existed for more than 50 years. Bringing together over 20 international contributors, this book highlights that knowledge migration and cultural diversity can strongly stimulate entrepreneurial activities, competence acquisition and economic development of countries and regions. The authors highlight the considerable scope for improvement of European migration policies in order to be better prepared to successfully process structural changes stemming from an aging society in Europe, and an increasing international division of labour. This volume is suitable for those who study industrial economics, international economics and European economics. It is also of interest to those who want to delve deeper into the Turkish-German migration nexus.

Book Description
Scholarly journals are the capillaries of the scientific world, ensuring the circulation of knowledge. Moreover, scholarly journals guide and indicate the scientific development in an academic field of study or in a country. Scholarly journals, which transfer and spread scientific information, are intended to properly fulfill their functions, preventing the transfer of imperfect or incorrect information to the science world. Significant issues are, therefore, inevitable in the characteristics of scientific studies in such disciplines and countries where the scholarly journals do not fulfill their functions properly. This study encompasses all scholarly journals published in Turkey in all fields of science and other disciplines. The reference questions in this study are grouped under three main categories: the contact and publication information, article evaluation, and publishing information. The number of journals in this present study totals 1,910.
