These doctrinal techniques are to be used as a guide and are not to be considered prescriptive. It also includes discussions of doctrine that apply to each specific type of platoon. This ATP is directed toward the reconnaissance platoon leader, platoon sergeant, section sergeant, team leaders, subordinate leaders, and all supporting units.
