Book Description
Manufacturing units of a country plays a vital role in the growth of an economy. The development of this sector is a key indicator of the economic strength of a country. It helps in raising productivity, generating employment and also supports creating fruitfulness in job and other sectors of the economy. Make in India was inaugurated by our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi on 25 September 2014, to encourage companies to manufacture their products in India. He has launched this ambitious campaign with an aim to show the country into a worldwide manufacturing hub. This is a world marketing strategy conceptualized by the PM of India to attract investments from businesses everywhere the planet and reworking India into a worldwide manufacturing Hub. For promoting this campaign, the online portal, logo and brochures are used for detailing 25 priority sectors of the economy. The main motto behind this initiative is to focus on job creation, improving living standards, skill development and innovation and to align India's manufacturing sector into the Global Value Chain by encouraging Public Private Partnership (PPP), Joint Ventures (JV), Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) inflow, and advancing Ease in Doing Business (EDB). Higher education will also play a significant role in improving the quality of Research and Development (R&D). This scheme focuses on acceleration of economic growth to the new level and to drag back the economy from clutches of recession. Currently India's GDP is heavily tilted in favors of service sector. The secondary data collected from different sources like journals, magazines, annual report etc.

Book Description
Various Multiple Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) techniques in one book: 13 MCDM techniques have been applied, namely, WSM, WPM, WASPAS, GRA, SMART, CRITIC, ENTROPY, EDAS, MOORA, AHP, TOPSIS, VIKOR, and new tools: MDEMATEL, Fuzzy MDEMATEL, Modified Fuzzy TOPSIS and Modified Fuzzy VIKOR. To date, no other book possesses this many tools. Various quantitative techniques: Different quantitative techniques have been applied, namely, Cronbach alpha, Chi-square and ANOVA (for demographic analysis), Percent Point Score and Central Tendency (response analysis), Factor Analysis, Correlation and Regression. To date, no other book possesses this many tools. Interpretive Structural Modelling: ISM has been applied for verifying MCDM results through MICMAC analysis and ISM model thus paving the way for model through SEM. Structural Equation Modelling: SEM using AMOS in PASW has been applied for model development. New MCDM techniques developed: In the process during qualitative analysis, new tools have been developed and their results have been compared with other existing MCDM tools and the results are encouraging. The new techniques are MDEMATEL, Fuzzy MDEMATEL, Modified Fuzzy TOPSIS and Modified Fuzzy VIKOR. Qualitative Model Developed: As the title says, Sustainable Green Development and Manufacturing Performance through Modern Production Techniques. It is a need-of-the-hour topic, as industries must maintain their performance (sustainable development) and, while sustaining, they have to keep in mind green issues (that is, environment-related issues, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic) and adopt advanced manufacturing and maintenance techniques. A model for this has been developed which will be helpful to both academicians and industrialists. Real-time Case Studies: Case studies in two industries of differing origins, different manufacturing sectors, different products, and comparing their units in the country of their origin and India. Dr. Chandan Deep Singh is an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Punjabi University, Patiala, Punjab (India). He is a co-author of Adolescents, Family and Consumer Behaviour (Routledge, 2020) and of Manufacturing Competency and Strategic Success in the Automobile Industry (CRC Press, 2019). Dr. Harleen Kaur is a manager (HR) at DELBREC Industries, Pvt. Ltd., Chandigarh. She co-authored Adolescents, Family and Consumer Behaviour (Routledge, 2020).

Book Description
Governments and the general public are growing more worried about the environmental imprints that organizations leave behind, even in spite of the apparent shift of these organizations toward sustainability goals. Constructing infrastructure with a low carbon intensity is essential to promoting green growth. India’s attempts to encourage sustainable and climate-friendly green growth are indicative of its drive to make the economy future-ready and reach net-zero by 2070. The largest commercial group in India has long been a major supporter of sustainable development projects. It has demonstrated its dedication to the environment by leading the way in creative sustainable business methods. In fact, a company’s capacity to recognize these issues and foster the proper attitudes and cultures within its own organization as well as among its many stakeholders will determine how much it can impact and decisively move toward its sustainability aims. The scientific community has turned its focus to transformation and green technology since green initiatives and incremental adaptation are not enough to address climate concerns and sustainability challenges. It is the ideal time for academics, business professionals, scientists, and legislators to join the growing fields of study, discussion, and debate on sustainability and management issues. This book aims to help researchers from many fields improve their technical projects and other research abilities. Their contributions enable the sharing of information and insights from several backgrounds, which can support both new theoretical frameworks and a comprehensive understanding of a subject. It provides a forum for understanding and debating emerging technologies and worldwide trends by expanding one’s knowledge of current, widely used research instruments and methodologies.
