Stressed by bullying new management, Jess finds comfort with Jackson, a sexy neighbor and friend of several years, who reveals himself to like men and women, and invites Jess on an all-expenses paid trip to a tropical island. There Jess meets Jackson's "crew", seven sexy studs who have no inhibitions but who all find sanctuary on the island from their tragic pasts. Max, Marcus, Dean, Louis, Raphael, Michael, and Caleb are more than happy to help Jess lose her own inhibitions, and she finds herself falling not only for Jackson, but each of the crew as well. Jess is invited to help set up and manage a Foundation whose aim is to heal people suffering mental trauma as a result of violence. The choice to stay with her studs is easy. Lost Inhibitions: The Next Chapter - The tropical refuge of El Santuario is up and running, helping victims of violence to heal. But the outside world encroaches. Jess and her eight sexy studs’ idyllic island attracts the attention of a psychotic stalker who comes after Marcus. A ruthless gang of poachers want to plunder the island’s fragile bounty and Jess, Jackson, Marcus, Max, Caleb, Michael, Dean, Louis, and Raphael have to fight off the threats to El Santuario. It’s not all bad. Jess has her hands full as she continues to bond and fall further in love with her crew of hunky bi-sexual men. Then the crew dynamic changes. Raphael, uncomfortable in a long term ménage-style relationship finds love with a sexy ex-Navy SEAL named Riley and enters into a monogamous partnership. Jess and her crew are happy that Raphael has found his true love. Sex, studs and stalkers. Not an ideal combination, but Jess will fight for what’s hers and defend her men from danger.

Book Description
Dan looked at me like I was some kind of hero, someone he would die for. We circled the runway, a strip of black in a field of green...Dan was down there. There was a time, I thought I was in love with him. A founding member of Joyful Justice and a computer genius with broad shoulders and a tapered waist, I imagine I could’ve been happy with him if I wasn't so screwed up. But I doubted all that now. I suspected he'd betrayed me. That he'd been telling my secrets for years to the one person I'd tried to hide them from, Robert Maxim. Bobby to his friends. And now, weirdly enough, I could count myself as his friend. After years of hating him, of blaming him for taking my revenge from me. After knowing, for sure, for absolute sure, that Robert Maxim was the worst kind of man, I had now let him join Joyful Justice. I'd decided to trust him. So Dan had betrayed me to Robert Maxim, but I'd found out after I'd decided to trust Robert Maxim. So how angry should I be? I laughed out loud. Blue, my dog, raised his head and checked my face, letting his tail tap against the floor. I smiled down at him and scratched under his chin. He tapped louder. "What do you think?" I asked him. "What should I do about this betrayal?" As usual Blue did not have a response. Wind battered the plane, whistling around the small vessel. The pilot's forearms strained to hold the plane steady. As we neared the ground one wing dipped for a moment before touching down with a jolt that knocked all anxiety out of my mind, sharpening my vision and pumping me full of adrenaline. The wind continued to push against the plane but we were down. We were safe. When the plane came to a stop, I stood, grabbed my small bag from the seat next to me, and waited as the co-pilot opened the door. The stairs unfolded and met the tarmac as an open-topped Jeep Wrangler pulled alongside the plane. Dan was at the wheel. His hair was longer than the last time I'd seen him. It covered his ears and brushed the neckline of his worn cotton green T-shirt. His beard was shaggy, bleached from the sun and wild-looking. Dan smiled as he looked up at me. I couldn't help but return the grin. Blue and I made our way down the steps. Dan embraced me; he smelled like sunscreen, salty sea, and a whiff of coconut. Blue tapped his feet next to us, waiting impatiently for his own greeting. I wrapped my arms around Dan's neck and pushed my face into his chest, breathing in his intoxicating scents. Closing my eyes, I reveled in the final moment before I exploded our relationship. P.S. The dog does not die. **Beware: If you can’t handle a few f-bombs, you can’t handle this series.**

Army Brat
Author: Laura Gutman
Publisher: Gatekeeper Press
ISBN: 1662943857
Category : History
Languages : en
Pages : 263
Book Description
The lives of Army brats have always been a core component of the US military. Scarcely described until now, Army Brat: World War II is an essential account that fills a major gap in history. Author Laura Thurston Gutman lived deeply embedded within the US Armed Forces from the United States’ earliest entry into World War II through the Vietnam era. Chronicling pivotal events during those years, this historical autobiography describes a life inextricably intertwined with the military. From her birth at West Point’s hospital, to her cobbled-together education, and witnessing her father’s many military honors, Laura’s childhood was one of intense awareness of the danger her father faced and the courage her mother displayed. As she grew older, she lurked in the background during long evenings of intense discussions of policy. Through the constant upheaval and disruption so familiar to military families, Laura developed a radical independence, a determination to gain control over her life, and a fearless approach to her own education. Chronicling the experiences of a strong military family as they witness and participate in the unfolding of history in a dangerous and challenging world, Army Brat identifies consequential insights into the critical importance of a strong religious foundation; an educational system dedicated to core concepts of nation and loyalty; and leadership that prioritizes sovereignty, national defense, and military support.

Call Me Army Brat
Author: Sharon Needham
Publisher: Dorrance Publishing
ISBN:
Category : Fiction
Languages : en
Pages : 129
Book Description
About the Book What do you do when a killer is stalking you, and no one believes you? In the 1960’s, a precocious young girl cries “Wolf!” once too often and puts her life at risk when she accidentally stumbles upon the pitifully mutilated body of a teenage girl in the woods surrounding The Presidio of San Francisco. Maura narrowly misses meeting the killer and runs for her life, but when she reports the murder to the Presidio’s military police, they don’t believe her. Over the years, and on more than a dozen military bases, this extremely bright but emotionally fragile Army Brat subjects her family, friends, and the military police to a variety of pranks. They know her intimately for her unbridled imagination and her propensity for playing tricks and jokes on people. Consequently, she has zero credibility with any of them. She persists, however, pleading with the military police until she finally convinces them to check out the area in the woods. When they reach the spot in the woods, the body is gone and there are no traces of foul play. She receives yet another serious lecture and warning from the police, and her dismayed parents ground her for a month. Her friends? They give her the benefit of the doubt, but they have other priorities on their minds. The only person who truly seems to believe Maura is a psychologist whom she’s had a long and somewhat dysfunctional relationship with. A despondent Maura realizes she’s on her own, and morbidly wonders how long she can avoid her own grisly death. She begins piecing together clues to the murder and stumbles upon the surprising identity of a sadistic killer who is seemingly loved by all. About the Author The author herself is an Army Brat, having been raised on more than twenty army bases, stateside and in Germany. She entered the U.S. Navy after graduating from high school and was trained as a CTI (Communications Technician-Interpreter). Her duty stations were primarily in Europe and the Middle East, during the Cold War. She has written and published numerous articles and short stories over the years, and is now focusing primarily on book writing. Mrs. Needham resides in Kingman, Arizona with her husband, and spends her spare time traveling, visiting her son and grandchildren, and gardening.
