Here is a brief summary of a few of the short stories in Adam Learns to Whistle. When Adam is in the Garden of Eden, eager to learn the skills he sees the animals have, he has Fish and Dog teach him how to swim. Monkey teaches him how to use the vines to swing from tree to tree, and the birds teach Adam how to whistle. Adam’s philosophy is “What is impossible today is possible tomorrow.” Watching the birds fly high into the sky, Adam wants to learn to fly. Find out what Adam learns about flying. The story “Brutus and Patches” is about a Saint Bernard dog, Brutus, who has the run of the house by his owners, Thelma and Bill. When Thelma is given a kitten she names Patches, she becomes angry with Brutus because of his aggressive behavior with Patches. Brutus often loses his house privileges and is upset because Patches scratches his tender nose. Will Brutus and Patches ever learn to get along with each other? “Elvira and the Choir” is a story of fifty-six-year-old Elvira who has suffered a stroke. Because the stroke has left her with childlike behavior, her husband divorces her. She moves to another community where being lonely, she attends church. When she tells the minister she loved hearing the choir sing, the minister invites her to join the choir. George, the leader of the choir, once he hears her loud, raspy voice, doesn’t want Elvira to sing in his choir. How does Elvira win everyone’s hearts, including George’s and the choir members? The story “Debbie’s Angel” is about a young girl who has been an orphan most of her life. Sad because the following day, the much-disliked Mrs. Beamer is going to cut the girls’ hair, Debbie looks out of her window late at night. From the starry heavens, an angel descends. The angel teaches Debbie that true beauty is gained by being kind to others. Can Debbie teach the girls to like Mrs. Beamer? These and the other short stories in the collection are both entertaining and inspiring.

Book Description
I shall tell you a story—it is the tale of a journey. Gather round, young and old, for the moving and amusing tale of Adam, a most curious and unique little whistle-pig. Adam is different from the rest of his group from birth. Those in the Whistle-pig Clan do not think deep thoughts. They do not laugh. They cannot even smile! But Adam does these things. Adam plays when the others do not. He explores where the others do not. He protects when others will not. And for all his differences, he is shunned from the group and finds a home, alone, a short distance away from where he grew up. Adam is mostly pleased with his solitary life, but he can't help longing for someone to share his thoughts with. A prisoner in his own mind, he sometimes finds it easy to make a bad choice. But, as he is different than any other whistle-pig, he begins to feel emotions that whistle-pigs and others in the animal kingdom do not feel. These emotions leave him conflicted, until the arrival of Agnus, a strangely kind two leg. A story of redemption and hope, The Awakening of Adam is an allegorical treasure that will inspire your heart and touch your spirit.

Book Description
The manuscript of God's "Good Morning" is just what the subtitle claims. It is a retelling of my spiritual journey raising an autistic son who is now fifty-four years old. Our son lives at home with his parents and will do so until my husband Greg and I become incapable of parenting him due to old age or our passing at which time, our son will live with his sister. Thus, this relationship is a lifelong commitment. This manuscript is a story of the growth of faith, hope, and love. My intention of writing such a manuscript is that of my desire to share with other parents of a special needs child my experiences dealing with this daunting challenge. This is not a clinical manuscript, but rather a manuscript of personal growth from shock, despair, and discouragement to acceptance, peace, and joy and reveals the miraculous healing of my broken spirit. Although this manuscript is written for parents of special needs children, it would also be found inspiring by a general audience of readers.

FROM POPULAR ROMANCE AUTHOR ANGELA ADDAMS Book two in the Wicked Distractions series A night with him was only meant to be a release, not an awakening. Adam Lancaster, right-hand man and security expert for Cowan Enterprises, is called back home to help his family save their ranch from a gang of debt collectors. While he's there, he's reunited with his childhood nemesis, Missy Alderton. Missy, once a tomboy, is all grown up and sexy as hell. She's also the town's sheriff, a kick-ass law enforcement officer who is determined to bring down the criminal elements that threaten more than just Adam's family. Since they both have the same goal, it would seem they'd be able to work together, but Missy knows all about Adam's years of working for the infamous Sabine Cowan, and she doesn't approve of his methods of fixing problems. Missy hasn't seen Adam in five years, not since the night she seduced him as a little payback for things he'd done when they were younger. She got him all hot and bothered and walked away, vowing never to touch the man again. Now that he's back in town, she keeps trying to convince herself that she's not interested in spending too much close and personal time with Adam. That's what her mouth is saying, but her body, on the other hand, can't seem to get enough of him. Adam is trouble and he's threatening everything she's built in Grimshield, including the walls around her heart. With so much at stake, Adam must convince Missy that sometimes you have to break a lot of rules to get what your heart desires.

Book Description
What do diplomats actually do? That is what this text seeks to answer by describing the various stages of a typical diplomat’s career. The book follows a fictional diplomat from his application to join the national diplomatic service through different postings at home and overseas, culminating with his appointment as ambassador and retirement. Each chapter contains case studies, based on the author’s thirty year experience as a diplomat, Ambassador, and High Commissioner. These illustrate such key issues as the role of the diplomat during emergency crises or working as part of a national delegation to a permanent conference as the United Nations. Rigorously academic in its coverage yet extremely lively and engaging, this unique work will serve as a primer to any students and junior diplomats wishing to grasp what the practice of diplomacy is actually like.

Book Description
The story begins with Gordon and Jane, walking on a corridor, on the astral plane. Their two blue, regal tigers accompany them. The tigers are their spirit guides and guardians. Soon, they find themselves in a series of rooms, which have the internal appearance of a monastery. The rooms are located inside a rock formation. There are no doors or signs of an entrance. Huge pillars, with open spaces between, allow light to enter. They are standing in a large room, with a group of native American tribal elders, who are seated at a large table. Gordon is included in a group of twelve men, who are called the selected. Jane is in a group of twelve women, called the accepted. Each pair of the selected and accepted will have a role to play in the future, involving spiritual awakenings. Born in the same year, all of the selected of that year are male, and their accepted partners are female. On alternate years, it is reversed, with the females being the selected, and males the accepted.
