Les dentifrices solides connaissent un succès de plus en plus important auprès des acheteurs cependant il n'existe que très peu d'études concernant leur interaction avec les tissus dentaires. L'objectif de ce travail est d'évaluer le pouvoir abrasif de 3 dentifrices solides sur la dentine. Pour cela une étude in vitro a été réalisée. Cinq groupes de dents ont été brossés soit avec un dentifrice solide, soit un dentifrice classique du commerce, soit sans dentifrice ; simulant un brossage de 6 mois. Une mesure par profilométrie avant et après brossage de différents paramètres de rugosité a été effectué pour évaluer le pouvoir abrasif. Aucune différence significative n'a été montré dans cette expérience. Les dentifrices solides testés dans cette étude ne seraient pas plus abrasifs par rapport au dentifrice témoin ni même sans l'utilisation de dentifrice.
