The P-p Final State Interaction in the Reaction He(d,tp)p
Author: Susan Mary Kelso

Pages : 0
Book Description
In the reaction 3He(d,tp)p we would like to investigate the p-p final state interaction. The basis for the theory described in this paper is an article by Henley, Richards, and Yu. Values for all constants are taken from Henley's paper, unless otherwise indicated. The experiment was done by Brian Corey. R. E. Warner, and others using the NASA-Lewis cyclotron, with runs in summer 1968 and December, 1968. As indicated in the notation 3He(d,tp)p, the deuteron is incident on 3He, and the triton and one proton are detected. The kinematic regions of interest are those for which the p-p final state interaction is expected to be most important; that is, when the outgoing protons have low relative energy.
