Book Description
Life is not always rainbows and cupcakes. Sometimes we get thrown curve balls out of left field. Sometimes we suspected the traumatic event, and sometimes we didn't have a clue. Other times, just the day to day stressors of life can keep us down and hanging on by a thread. This is where a thing called Positive Affirmations comes into play. Positive Affirmations are defined as: statements that affirm something to be true. Positive affirmations generally mean positive phrases that a person repeats to themselves to describe how they want to be. The new 365 Positive Affirmations While Facing A Divorce includes: A Table of Contents with 9 different chapters full of Positive Affirmations that are as follows: Chapter 1: 123 Affirmations to say aloud while facing a divorce. Chapter 2: 27 Ways to replace negative self talk with positive statements. Chapter 3: 34 Positive affirmations for women facing divorce. Chapter 4: 36 Positive affirmations for men facing divorce. Chapter 5: 21 Affirmations for healing a broken heart. Chapter 6: 7 Affirmations for single moms. Chapter 7: 15 Affirmations for surviving divorce. Chapter 8: 71 Positive Affirmations for going through diorvorce over the age of 30. Chapter 9: 31 Affirmations every divorced parent should repeat daily. Each of the above affirmations fit nicely into the listed category, but could also be used if you do not fall into the heading. There are two different formats of this book: E-book and Audio book. This is because while it suggested to say aloud the affirmations included, some people also like to see them written down. Whichever version you prefer, if you take the time to go through some or all of these affirmations one time, ten times, or hundred times, I can guarantee they will start to produce the desired effect: which is healing. We all want to heal from our divorces. Or you wouldn't have made it this far in the first place. So what are you waiting for? Scroll up and click the "Buy Now" button now! You won't regret it!

Book Description
Decades of research have demonstrated that the parent-child dyad and the environment of the familyâ€"which includes all primary caregiversâ€"are at the foundation of children's well- being and healthy development. From birth, children are learning and rely on parents and the other caregivers in their lives to protect and care for them. The impact of parents may never be greater than during the earliest years of life, when a child's brain is rapidly developing and when nearly all of her or his experiences are created and shaped by parents and the family environment. Parents help children build and refine their knowledge and skills, charting a trajectory for their health and well-being during childhood and beyond. The experience of parenting also impacts parents themselves. For instance, parenting can enrich and give focus to parents' lives; generate stress or calm; and create any number of emotions, including feelings of happiness, sadness, fulfillment, and anger. Parenting of young children today takes place in the context of significant ongoing developments. These include: a rapidly growing body of science on early childhood, increases in funding for programs and services for families, changing demographics of the U.S. population, and greater diversity of family structure. Additionally, parenting is increasingly being shaped by technology and increased access to information about parenting. Parenting Matters identifies parenting knowledge, attitudes, and practices associated with positive developmental outcomes in children ages 0-8; universal/preventive and targeted strategies used in a variety of settings that have been effective with parents of young children and that support the identified knowledge, attitudes, and practices; and barriers to and facilitators for parents' use of practices that lead to healthy child outcomes as well as their participation in effective programs and services. This report makes recommendations directed at an array of stakeholders, for promoting the wide-scale adoption of effective programs and services for parents and on areas that warrant further research to inform policy and practice. It is meant to serve as a roadmap for the future of parenting policy, research, and practice in the United States.

Book Description
From the author of Crafting Gratitude, a resource that “provides good medicine for the soul and the elixir of hope for the spirit” (Spirituality & Practice). In a world that feels increasingly fragile, people will continue to look for new prayers and new ways to pray. While there are a number of anthologies of prayer available, no book—until now—has attempted to provide a collection that focuses specifically on prayers for a wide range of modern challenges, from the personal to the global. Prayers for Hope and Comfort covers issues facing individuals (illness, addiction); those challenged in relationships (aging parents, divorce); local communities (natural disasters, unemployment); the larger world (poverty, hunger, war); and creation itself (loss of rainforests, species extinction, global warming). Prayers for Hope and Comfort offers readers solace, comfort, and hope, drawing from the wisdom of every era, every major faith and tradition, and the important voices of those who have lived through such experiences themselves. The book contains selections from some of the world’s most profound poets and thinkers: David Whyte, Eckhart Tolle, Sister Joan Chittister, and Martin Luther King, Jr. as well as traditional prayers and verses from every time and place. Named one of the Best Spiritual Books of the Year by Spirituality & Practice

Book Description
Includes a foreword by Major General David A. Rubenstein. From the editor: "71F, or "71 Foxtrot," is the AOC (area of concentration) code assigned by the U.S. Army to the specialty of Research Psychology. Qualifying as an Army research psychologist requires, first of all, a Ph.D. from a research (not clinical) intensive graduate psychology program. Due to their advanced education, research psychologists receive a direct commission as Army officers in the Medical Service Corps at the rank of captain. In terms of numbers, the 71F AOC is a small one, with only 25 to 30 officers serving in any given year. However, the 71F impact is much bigger than this small cadre suggests. Army research psychologists apply their extensive training and expertise in the science of psychology and social behavior toward understanding, preserving, and enhancing the health, well being, morale, and performance of Soldiers and military families. As is clear throughout the pages of this book, they do this in many ways and in many areas, but always with a scientific approach. This is the 71F advantage: applying the science of psychology to understand the human dimension, and developing programs, policies, and products to benefit the person in military operations. This book grew out of the April 2008 biennial conference of U.S. Army Research Psychologists, held in Bethesda, Maryland. This meeting was to be my last as Consultant to the Surgeon General for Research Psychology, and I thought it would be a good idea to publish proceedings, which had not been done before. As Consultant, I'd often wished for such a document to help explain to people what it is that Army Research Psychologists "do for a living." In addition to our core group of 71Fs, at the Bethesda 2008 meeting we had several brand-new members, and a number of distinguished retirees, the "grey-beards" of the 71F clan. Together with longtime 71F colleagues Ross Pastel and Mark Vaitkus, I also saw an unusual opportunity to capture some of the history of the Army Research Psychology specialty while providing a representative sample of current 71F research and activities. It seemed to us especially important to do this at a time when the operational demands on the Army and the total force were reaching unprecedented levels, with no sign of easing, and with the Army in turn relying more heavily on research psychology to inform its programs for protecting the health, well being, and performance of Soldiers and their families."
