Book Description
In Help (Not) Wanted, Michael Strausz offers an original and provocative answer to a question that has long perplexed observers of Japan: Why has Japan's immigration policy remained so restrictive, especially in light of economic, demographic, and international political forces that are pushing Japan to admit more immigrants? Drawing upon insights developed during nearly two years of intensive field research in Japan, Strausz ultimately argues that Japan's immigration policy has remained restrictive for two reasons. First, Japan's labor-intensive businesses have failed to defeat anti-immigration forces within the Japanese state, particularly those in the Ministry of Justice and the Japanese Diet. Second, no influential strain of elite thought in postwar Japan exists to support the idea that significant numbers of foreign nationals have a legitimate claim to residency and citizenship. This book is particularly timely at a moment shaped by Brexit, the election of Trump, and the rise of anti-immigrant political parties and nativist rhetoric across the globe.

Book Description
Tina Marie Floyd-Howell was born December 1, 1980 in Dothan, Alabama. Tina was raised in a good, stable household, but unfortunately for her, the affairs of life didn’t come without some traumatic experiences with some bumps and bruises along the way. During her adolescent years, Tina is reminiscent of having to struggle and fight her way through in order to survive at certain seasons of her life, accepting the unforeseeable challenges that came which seemed almost impossible to overcome. There were times where her struggles were so overwhelming that she couldn’t see the end of the tunnel and had concluded within herself that they wouldn’t come to an end, only to fi nd herself being taken under with a longer and greater, heart-gripping struggle to face head on. By nature of character, Tina is a seeress, or naturally born with a prophetic element in her character from birth, having a special, second-sight of earthly things happening through revelatory dreams and visions given, seeing things come to pass in the earth realm before they have a literal manifestation. Tina is acquainted with having a personal history of seeing demons which is certainly not part of the normal, common thread ofmediocre humanity. Because of the peculiarity of her special gifting, she has had to be cautious and careful with whom she dealt with and connected with, and due to her knowledge of these facts, she has had to be careful with whom she shared her birthright.

The family station wagon was found abandoned at the western side of Great Smoky National Park. Bishop vanished and since that time has allegedly been an international fugitive. The author, Bishop's roommate senior year at Yale University, has been haunted by this case and its unanswered questions for many years. In this challenging book he puts forth some interesting theories as to what might have happened.

Book Description
Polly Young-Eisendrath´s Women and Desire: Beyond Wanting to Be Wanted was first published by Harmony Books in 1999. Since then, it has become a classic read for those readers– to use a cinematographic expression – who want to use analytical psychology to shed light on what women want. This book, when first published, was described (and still is) as “provocative and vital.” More than 20 years after its publication, this book still shows effectively “how to break out of this double bind so that” women “can encounter the challenges of choice and responsibility for our own desires.” The author “wisely uses mythological and personal stories to help us take control of our sexual, relational, material, and spiritual lives.” Therefore, “If you feel confused, resentful, or trapped in a life that does not seem to be fully yours, then you can find a clear path to your true self, once and for all, with the help of Women and Desire.” This book is the second of the series titled Jungianeum: Re-Covered Classics in Analytical Psychology curated by Stefano Carpani.

Book Description
I Am helps women end the barrage of negative self-talk and replace it with an empowering new narrative. You'll exchange lies for truth, insecurity for a rock-solid identity, and break free from the distorted messages that have held you hostage for too long. From the moment a woman wakes until she falls, exhausted, on her pillow, one question plagues her at every turn: Am I enough? The pressure to do more, be more has never been more intense. Online marketing. Self-help books. Movies, magazines, and gym memberships. Even church attendance and social media streams have become a means of comparing ourselves to impossible standards. Am I pretty enough? Hip enough? Spiritual enough? We fear the answer is "No." When a brutal bout with cancer changed how she looked, talked, and lived, Michele Cushatt embarked on a soul-deep journey to rediscover herself. The typical self-esteem strategies and positivity plans weren't enough. Instead, she needed a new foundation, one that wouldn't prove flimsy when faced with the onslaught of day-to-day life. With raw personal stories, profound biblical teaching, and radical truths on which to rebuild your life, I Am will help you: Refuse to ride the rollercoaster of others' opinions and start believing what God says about you. Stop agonizing over past regrets and failures and make peace with God's sovereign plan for your life. Leave insecurity behind as you exchange temporary fixes for an identity established on God's unchanging affection. I Am reminds us that our value isn't found in our talents, achievements, relationships, or appearance. It is instead found in a God who chose us, sent us, and promised to be with us--forever.
