Abstract: Auf der internationalen wissenschaftlichen Zusammenarbeit ruhen hohe Erwartungen, wobei der Bedarf für derlei Kooperationen von Seiten der Politik und Förderorganisationen weitgehend unhinterfragt als gegeben vorausgesetzt wird. Inwiefern die in Wissenschaftskooperationen gesetzten Erwartungen erfüllt werden (können), darüber existiert bislang erstaunlich wenig Forschung. Der Artikel soll einen Beitrag dazu leisten, diese Forschungslücke zu schließen, indem er internationale, und zwar konkret deutsch-chinesische, Wissenschaftskooperationen der Natur- und Technikwissenschaften aus der Perspektive deutscher Wissenschaftler*innen betrachtet.
