The book's first section includes biographies of the Craig descendants who made Philadelphia their home until 1872 at which time the sole remaining Craig descendant, John Charles Craig, Jr., and his family re-settled in Mississippi City, Mississippi. John had five children and the second portion of this book traces the ancestry of John's second son, Charles Hopkinson Craig.
