Book Description
This book intends to inspire and help the reader to acknowledge that we all have flaws, but we can all become flawless by knowing how to stay motivated, maintain happiness, and inspire ourselves and others! In this book, I have included over two hundred inspirational quotes, with the aim to inspire millions around the world! I am hoping that after reading my quotes you will be as fascinated as all the other people who have heard me saying those words for the first time. I have carefully selected and included a number of tools that I have created, with the intentions of showing you a different way of managing difficult situations, and showing my point of view of happiness and success. For example: The 5A’s Coping Mechanism System is a great tool to use when facing a challenging situation. The system has five simple steps that are easy and quick to follow, and deal with the situation at hand in a very effective and efficient manner. By following the five simple steps, you will have low stress levels and a clear mind which will enable you to make better decisions. The second system that will greatly assist you is the Conflict Resolution System. When I created this system, my primary aim was to resolve commercial disputes, however, because conflict is part of our everyday life, this eight step system can be used to also resolve any other conflict too. Following these steps will definitely reduce stress, but most importantly will save you a lot of time and money. The third tool is The Leadership Model, very useful to follow for those who want to become great leaders. This tool will enable leaders to acknowledge what skills are needed to be a great leader, and develop those skills which they lack. The fourth system is the Success Model, which has four simple steps on how to become happy and successful. Two vital ingredients that most people nowadays seek to achieve. This tool is very simplistic but necessary for those eager individuals who want to live life to the fullest, both personally and professionally. The Success Model will enable you to recognise whether you live your life to be happy, successful or happy and successful. The fifth tool I have included is the Employed Model, which will highlight to the reader if you are or not pursuing what you love. The concept behind this model is based on responses from personal experience at work, thousands of people responses, and in general what I hear from people when talking about their work. After reading the information I have included in this model, you should be able to make a life changing decision that you are valuable and that you should be treated with respect and dignity at work. I have also included some other sources such as books, tools and ways on how to stay motivated ensuring that the reader has a variety to choose from, and use the sources they think will help the most.

Visionary
Author: Graham Hancock
Publisher: Red Wheel/Weiser
ISBN: 1633412636
Category : Body, Mind & Spirit
Languages : en
Pages : 642
Book Description
The latest archaeology and history redefining book from bestselling author Graham Hancock (Fingerprints of the Gods), who is featured in Ancient Apocalypse, a hit Netflix original docuseries. "With the original unabridged text of Supernatural, I offer the reader an investigation that explores the human experience with psychedelics from the Stone Age to the Space Age and the role of these extraordinary plant medicines as tools to investigate the nature of reality itself."—Graham Hancock Discover the pathway to the gods. Less than 50,000 years ago mankind had no art, no religion, no sophisticated symbolism, no innovative thinking. Then, in a dramatic and electrifying change, described by scientists as "the greatest riddle in human history," all the skills and qualities that we value most highly in ourselves appeared already fully formed, as though bestowed on us by hidden powers. In Visionary, Graham Hancock sets out to investigate this mysterious "before-and-after moment" and to discover the truth about the influences that gave birth to modern human mind. His quest takes him on a journey of adventure and detection from the stunningly beautiful painted caves of prehistoric France, Spain, and Italy to remote rock shelters in the mountains of South Africa, where he finds a treasure trove of extraordinary Stone Age art. Hancock uncovers clues that lead him to travel to the depths of the Amazon rainforest to drink the powerful plant hallucinogen ayahuasca with Indian shamans, whose paintings contain images of "supernatural beings" identical to the animal-human hybrids depicted in prehistoric caves and rock shelters. Hallucinogens such as mescaline also produce visionary encounters with exactly the same beings. Scientists at the cutting edge of consciousness research have begun to consider the possibility that such hallucinations may be real perceptions of other "dimensions." Could the "supernaturals" first depicted in the painted caves and rock shelters be the ancient teachers of mankind? Could it be that human evolution is not just the "blind," "meaningless" process that Darwin identified, but something more purposive and intelligent, something that we have barely even begun to understand? Previously published as Supernatural, this definitive edition includes a new Introduction by Graham Hancock as well as restored chapters that were omitted from the original paperback release.

They Shimmer Within: Cognitive-Evolutionary Perspectives on Visionary Beings
Author: Bruce Rimell
Publisher: Lulu.com
ISBN: 0244962839
Category : Science
Languages : en
Pages : 576
Book Description
The use of psychedelic drugs plants is rising, and with it the number of reports narrating encounters with otherworldly visionary beings. Approaches to these experiences have often been literal, archetypal or dismissive. Evolutionary psychology and the cognitive science of religion suggest innate and non-imagistic mental foundations for these phenomena arising from easily-triggered evolutionary functions during emotive periods of high cognitive demand. Such functions include agent detection, social intelligence faculties and metacognition. This wide-ranging book explores how our deepest mental processes predispose us as humans to believe in supernatural agents, and presents a new hypothesis of how these same cognitions facilitate the emergence of those agents to become present when psychedelic drugs and plants are ingested. Bruce concludes that visionary beings shimmer within as awe-inspiring products of the mind, an experience which rests at the heart of what it is to be human.

The Disposable Visionary
Author: Curtis Powell
Publisher: Bloomsbury Publishing USA
ISBN: 1440840377
Category : Business & Economics
Languages : en
Pages : 172
Book Description
Is it possible for visionary leaders to adhere to their idealism and integrity without becoming casualties of corporate conservatism and executive-level politics? This book says "yes," arguing for the need for visionary change agents in organizations and resolving the paradox of visionary change in a bureaucratic environment. Why do many companies state they want change but then often fire employees who truly rock the boat in their efforts to shift the paradigm to make improvements? How should "disposable visionaries"—leaders who are passionate about new ideas, but who underestimate or intentionally ignore the political environment that supports maintaining the status quo and consequently are in danger of losing their jobs—keep their passion regardless of the opposition... and also keep their jobs? Written with wit and filled with poignant insights and well-documented examples, this book provides practical advice and encouragement to those who are driven to promote new ideas and reach new levels of achievement. Not just for executive-level corporate leaders frustrated by their company's resistance to change, the information and inspiration presented will be enlightening to anyone who has ever been puzzled or annoyed by obstructive internal politics at work. Readers will come away with effective ways to deal with politics, champion breakthrough innovation, be recognized as their organization's most valuable asset, and unlock their potential to change the competitive playing field. The book will also be invaluable for business students who need to be aware of potential obstacles they will likely face as they embark on their careers.

Franz Joseph Gall
Author: Stanley Finger
Publisher:
ISBN: 0190464623
Category : Medical
Languages : en
Pages : 585
Book Description
Franz Joseph Gall, a dedicated physician and scientist, is unfortunately most remembered for his controversial doctrine that would become known as phrenology. Although often portrayed as a discredited buffoon who believed he could assess a person's strengths and weaknesses by measuring cranial bumps, Gall strove to answer pressing questions about the mind, brain, and behavior. His career began in Vienna during the 1790s and ended with his death in Paris in 1828. This work presents a fresh look at Gall, both his life and seminal ideas, some of which--for example, cortical localization of function--would become tenets of modern behavioral neuroscience.
