Growth and yield projections for various thinning alternatives can be made with OAKSIM for up to 50 years. Simulator components include an individual-tree diameter growth model, a mortality model, height prediction equations, bark ratio equations, a taper based volume system, and a mathematical thinning rule based on actual data.
