Book Description
The true story of Bronze Star recipient Allen Weseleskey and his high-risk rescue mission, carried out under heavy fire in Vietnam. Includes photos. When the going is fast and rough, I will not falter. I will be uncompromising in every blow I strike. I will be humble in victory. I am a United States Navy Flyer. —from “A Navy Flyer’s Creed” Barely a month after the start of the Tet Offensive in 1968, a Navy flyer applied this creed—and dared to risk not only his career but also his and his fellow aircrewmen’s lives in rescuing a wounded US Army advisor only moments from certain battlefield death. The pilot, Lt. Cdr. Allen E. “Wes” Weseleskey, had been assigned to the Navy’s Helicopter Attack (Light) Squadron Three, the “Seawolves,” at the Vinh Long Army Airfield. His controversial mission took place in March 1968 in the Mekong Delta region. Two ARVN companies were being overwhelmed and despite coming under heavy fire, Weseleskey decided to go in and rescue as many survivors as possible. The accompanying Seawolf was forced to turn back after taking hits, but Weseleskey, with the agreement of his crew, persisted—flying so low under the treeline that they were out of reach of the VC rocket launchers. Weseleskey was awarded the Bronze Star, the Distinguished Flying Cross, and the Navy Cross during his service. This is his story, from early assignments, clashes with superior officers, missions and rescues during the Tet Offensive, to homecoming. It is the story of a quintessential flyer, an American hero who was prepared to speak his mind and take risks—and of the vital role of the Seawolves in the Vietnam War.

Book Description
The Bible clearly tells us that the end of time is near. The devil is constantly assaulting God's people with devastating forms of spiritual warfare. This war is being waged world wide. The battlefield is in the heart of every believer and the souls of mankind are the prize. We, as Christians, must not fear and give up. God is on our side and we will win. We are instructed to put on the whole armor of God. But what are our weapons? How do we learn to use them? How do we fight an unseen enemy? What does God expect of us? Can we really be victorious? The purpose of this book is to show how God's Word answers these questions. It is my desire that you fully comprehend what God has given to me, so - "I've tried to write it, so that you can understand it." In 1970, while a senior at the University of Georgia, Danny Callahan, received his calling into the ministry. God's words were crystal clear that day, as He shared His will for Danny's life. Then the Lord ended His instructions with these words, "I want you to say it so that they can understand." After graduation Danny entered the job market and pursued his own dreams. But "the calling" haunted him day and night. After struggling for two years, he surrendered his will to God, and his life has never been the same. He started his first youth group in 1973 and served as a youth minister for the next twenty years. In August of 1993 he accepted the pastorate of Kettle Creek Church, in Waycross, Georgia. He has faithfully ministered there for the past fifteen years and continues to humbly serve as their Shepherd.

Book Description
Originally published in 1832, Wacousta is a tale of the conspiracy of Ottawa chief Pontiac, who organized an alliance to drive the English from the lands of the Indians after the French and Indian War (1755-1763). The author was the first Canadian novelist to write in English, and John Richardson (1796-1852) still ranks as one of Canada's literary icons. Wacousta is not really an Indian, but an Englishman masquerading as an Indian to achieve his revenge. However, he is not really an Englishman, either, as he had served in Montcalm's French army at the battle of the Plains of Abraham (1759). Therein lies the essence of the Canadian soul, a combination of English, French and American features - both good and bad. This masterfully crafted eBook is a faithful and unabridged presentation of the first edition. It is fully searchable and fully printable. (386pp, 2.65 Mb)
