L'essor de la robotique se mesure d'ores et déjà en termes économiques et sociaux. Le détour éthique est d'autant plus inévitable que les effets de la présence des robots sur la structure sociale risquent d'être radicaux et irréversibles. Alliant une analyse fouillée du droit positif à une démarche prospective, ce traité d'une grande richesse se propose ainsi d'étudier de manière approfondie l'encadrement juridique puis roboéthique de la robotique civile. Loin de la science-fiction et des débats stériles, il offre une vision réaliste de cette nouvelle discipline.
