Book Description
Differential cross sections in the top quark sector measured at the Fermilab Tevatron collider are presented. CDF used 2.7 fb−1 of data and measured the differential cross section as a function of the invariant mass of the t{bar t} system. The measurement shows good agreement with the standard model and furthermore is used to derive limits on the ratio?/M{sub Pl} for gravitons which decay to top quarks in the Randall-Sundrum model. D0 used 1.0 fb−1 of data to measure the differential cross section as a function of the transverse momentum of the top-quark. The measurement shows a good agreement to the next-to-leading order perturbative QCD prediction and various other standard model predictions.

Book Description
The CDF collaboration has measured the differential elastic cross section d?{sub el}/dt, the single diffraction dissociation double differential cross section d2?{sub sd}/dM2dt and the total inelastic cross section for antiproton-proton collisions at center of mass energies √s = 546 and 1,800 GeV. Data for this measurement have been collected in short dedicated runs during the 1988--1989 data taking period of CDF. The elastic scattering slope is 15.28 ± 0.58 (16.98 ± 0.25) GeV−2 at √s = 546 (1,800) GeV. Using the luminosity independent method (1 +?2)?{sub T} is measured to be 62.64 ± 0.95 (81.83 ± 2.29) mb at √s = 546 (1,800) GeV. Assuming? = 0.15 the elastic, total and single diffraction cross sections are?{sub el} = 12.87 ± 0.30,?{sub T} = 61.26 ± 0.93 and?{sub sd} = 7.89 ± 0.33 mb (?{sub el} = 19.70 ± 0.85,?{sub T} = 80.03 ± 2.24 and?{sub sd} = 9.46 ± 0.44 mb) at √s = 546 (1,800) GeV.

Book Description
The top quark, discovered in 1995 by the CDF and D0 collaborations at the Tevatron proton antiproton collider at Fermilab, has undergone intense studies in the last 20 years. Currently, CDF and D0 converge on their measurements of top-antitop quark production cross sections using the full Tevatron data sample. In these proceedings, the latest results on inclusive and differential measurements of top-antitop quark production cross sections at the Tevatron are reported.

Book Description
In this study, we present the final combination of CDF and D0 measurements of cross sections for single-top-quark production in proton-antiproton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 1.96 TeV. The data correspond to total integrated luminosities of up to 9.7 fb-1 per experiment. The t-channel cross section is measured to be [sigma]t= 2.25-0.31+0.29 pb. We also present the combinations of the two-dimensional measurements of the s- vs t-channel cross section. In addition, we give the combination of the s+t channel cross section measurement resulting in [sigma]s+t= 3.30-0.40+0.52 pb, without assuming the standard model value for the ratio [sigma]s/[sigma]t. The resulting value of the magnitude of the top-to-bottom quark coupling is.

Book Description
The authors present a new method for studying high-p{sub T} dilepton events (e{sup {+-}}e{sup {-+}},?{sup {+-}}?{sup {-+}}, e{sup {+-}}?{sup {-+}}) and simultaneously extracting the production cross sections of p{bar p} → t{bar t}, p{bar p} → WW−, and p{bar p} → Z° →?+?− at a center-of-mass energy of √s = 1.96 TeV. They perform a likelihood fit to the dilepton data in a parameter space defined by the missing transverse energy and the number of jets in the event. The results, which use 360 pb−1 of data recorded with the CDF II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider, are?(t{bar t}) = 8.5{sub -2.2}{sup +2.7} pb,?(W+W−) = 16.3{sub -4.4}{sup +5.2} pb, and?(Z° →?+?−) = 291−46{sup +50} pb.

Book Description
Differential and double-differential cross sections for the production of top quark pairs in proton-proton collisions at 13 TeV are measured as a function of jet multiplicity and of kinematic variables of the top quarks and the top quark-antiquark system. This analysis is based on data collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.3 inverse femtobarns. The measurements are performed in the lepton+jets decay channels with a single muon or electron in the final state. The differential cross sections are presented at particle level, within a phase space close to the experimental acceptance, and at parton level in the full phase space. The results are compared to several standard model predictions.

Book Description
We present results for the top quark pair cross section at the Tevatron and the LHC. We use the resummed double differential cross section, employing the fully kinematics-dependent soft anomalous dimension matrices, to calculate the soft-gluon contributions at next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO). We improve and update our previous estimates by refining our methods, including further subleading terms, and employing the most recent parton distribution function sets. The NNLO soft corrections significantly enhance the NLO cross section while considerably reducing the scale dependence. We provide a detailed discussion of all theoretical uncertainties in our calculation, including kinematics, scale, and parton distributions uncertainties and clarify the differences between our work and other approaches in the literature.
