Les reprises du composant fémoral dans les prothèses totale de hanche (PTH) peuvent être techniquement exigeantes en raison des pertes osseuses péri-prothétiques. Cette étude rétrospective monocentrique a évalué les résultats à long terme de la reprise fémorale à l'aide d'une tige anatomique totalement recouverte d'hydroxyapatite. Entre 1990 et 2001, cet implant a été utilisé pour 83 reprises consécutives chez 81 patients (39 hommes et 42 femmes). Un total de 30 patients sont morts, prothèse en place, de causes non liées à l’intervention, les 53 hanches restantes chez 51 patients avec un âge moyen de 63 ans (26 à 79 ans) ont été examinés lors d'un suivi moyen de 14,8 ans (9,5 à 22 ans) et aucun patient n'a été perdu de vue. Au total, huit tiges ont été déposées dont 5 pour infection et 3 pour échec d’ostéointégration. Le score moyen de Harris était de 83 à la révision et le score de Postel Merle D’Aubigné s’améliorait de 12,5 en pré-opératoire à 15,5 à la révision (p
