Book Description
Christianity can sometimes become a habit or a tradition, something we are taught to be and which we claim without much thought about what it is or what it requires of us. There are many influences vying for authority over our lives, and sometimes, their voices seem much louder than that of the God we claim to serve. Who we have become as Christians and who God calls us to be can sometimes seem miles apart. The Word of God does not always have the final authority over our lives, so we have become who society, culture, traditions, and churches say we should be. But are we who God says we should be? The Farther We Have Wandered from God's Perfect Plan is a personal reflection of where we are as believers in relation to who we should be as spouses, parents, servants in God's house, and people in general. It is a small nudge for us to search our lives and the things we have embraced as acceptable and see how they hold up to God's yardstick, his own Word by which he sustains all areas of our lives. Farikanayi was born and raised in Zimbabwe and later studied for a BSc and Teaching Certificate from Clark College, Atlanta and East Carolina University in Greenville, USA. She worked in Zimbabwe as a teacher, deputy head and head teacher then migrated to the UK with her two sons and two daughters before relocating to USA where she lives with her husband Wayne. She graduated from the University of Leeds (MA in Gender Studies and MA in Social Work). In the UK, Farikanayi initially worked as a health care assistant. She later became a teacher and eventually a social worker. She is currently employed as a human services caseworker and is also a student at Moody Bible Institute, pursuing an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counselling. She has published six books so far, which are all available on Amazon. Farikanayi is a member of a community-changing church congregation which is a central part of her life. She loves gardening, reading, writing, knitting, sewing and planning events and group holidays. Prayer-walking is her preferred form of exercise and journaling, her emotional and spiritual release.

Book Description
Scripture reveals a God who meets us where we are, not where we pretend to be. No More Faking Fine is your invitation to get honest with God through the life-giving language of lament. If you've ever been given empty clichés during challenging times, you know how painful it is to be misunderstood by well-meaning people. When life hurts, we often feel pressure--from others and ourselves--to keep it together, suck it up, or pray it away. But Scripture reveals a God who lovingly invites us to give honest voice to our emotions when life hits hard. For most of her life, Esther Fleece Allen believed she could bypass the painful emotions of her broken past by shutting them down altogether. She was known as an achiever and an overcomer on the fast track to success. But in silencing her pain, she robbed herself of the opportunity to be healed. Maybe you've done the same. Esther's journey into healing began when she discovered that God has given us a real-world way to deal with raw emotions and an alternative to the coping mechanisms that end up causing more pain. It's called lament--the gut-level, honest prayer that God never ignores, never silences, and never wastes. No More Faking Fine is your permission to lament, taking you on a journey down the unexpected pathway to true intimacy with God. Drawing from careful biblical study and hard-won insight, Esther reveals how to use God's own language to come closer to him as he leads us through our pain to the light on the other side, teaching you that: We are robbing ourselves of a divine mystery and a divine intimacy when we pretend to have it all together God does not expect us to be perfect; instead, he meets us where we are There is hope beyond your heartache, disappointment, and grief Like Esther, you'll soon find that when one person stops faking fine, it gives everyone else permission to do the same.

Book Description
“Teach us to number our days carefully so that we may develop wisdom in our hearts.” These words from Psalm 90, prayed by Moses, reflect an eternal truth: we need God's help to number our days, and to capture every moment, so that we can live it with wisdom. Capture the Moment is a 365-day devotional that will help you do just that. For those who get bogged down in the mundane, distracted by the noise, and lost in the busyness, pastor and author Gregg Matte has written these daily devotions to point us back to what matters most. Begin or end each day with a short snippet of Scripture and a helpful devotional thought so that you can capture each moment, rather than letting it slip away.

Book Description
Neuropsychologist Offers Hope to Those Struggling with Depression As a board-certified neuropsychologist, Dr. Michelle Bengtson sees the devastation of depression. Early on, she practiced the most effective treatments and prescribed them for her clients. But when she experienced depression herself, she found that the treatments she had recommended were lacking. Her experience showed her the missing component in treating depression. In Hope Prevails, Dr. Bengtson writes with deep compassion, blending her training and faith, to offer readers a hope grounded in God's love and grace. She helps readers understand what depression is, how it affects them spiritually, and what, by God's grace, it cannot do. The result is an approach that offers the hope of release, not just the management of symptoms. For those who struggle with depression and those who want to help them, Hope Prevails offers hope for the future.

Book Description
Live intentionally and embrace abundant life! Imagine waking up every single day convinced that the twenty-four hours ahead of you are a precious gift to be used wisely. Now imagine that you know exactly how to spend them to be a force for God’s good. All too often we wander through life without appreciating the gift of every moment we’ve been given. The result? An unsatisfying life, missed opportunities to experience the joy of being in sync with God, and days marked with apathy instead of passion. Our time on earth is measured. We should want to make every moment count—not only because we aren’t guaranteed the next one, but also because this is exactly how our Savior spent His time here. How, then, do we walk out unwavering joy-filled faith every day, determined to let go of the things that keep us from experiencing abundant life and fulfilling the plans God has for us? The answers are found in following the footsteps of the One who lived fully, because He was determined that we might do the same. In this six-week study of Luke, we will follow the life and ministry of Jesus as we consider the choices He made on His way to the cross. We’ll intimately connect with a Savior who remained laser-focused on His mission to love the world. In return, we’ll receive a model for intentional living that we can replicate to ensure we are living each day to the fullest and making a difference for God’s kingdom. And together we’ll determine to embrace the abundant life we are promised in Jesus. The participant workbook includes five days of lessons for each week, combining study of Scripture with personal reflection, application, and prayer. It’s time to stop wandering and start living!
