Book Description
This is one of Dr. Murphy’s best books, on a par with his classic The Power of your Subconscious Mind. It explains the difference between the conscious and subconscious mind, and how the two work together to create the reality of the individual. As in Murphy’s other books, examples are given of how people overcame problems or manifested their desires by changing their minds through belief, affirmation, and visualization. The chapters deal with: HEALING PRAYER BECOMING SPIRITUAL-MINDED THE CREATIVITY OF THOUGHT THE MEANING OF EVIL THE MEANING OF LIFE CONTROLLING ONE’S FEAR THE POWER OF SUGGESTION MARRIAGE, SEX, AND DIVORCE In his very engaging style, the author teaches us how to use both phases of the mind synchronously, harmoniously, and peacefully in order to bring harmony, health, and abundance into our lives. He also explains that Biblical statements are parables, allegories, metaphors, similes, and cryptic statements, and are thus not to be taken literally. The main message is that we are all children of the infinite, born to win, and to live in the joyous expectancy of the best. Exclusive to and approved by the estate of Joseph Murphy

Book Description
How you can use the power of thoughts successfully and realise your deepest desires consistently and with single mindedness. With the power of thoughts, you are the creator and architect of your own world at every moment. As can be read in many books, a vivid image loaded with emotion - which is known to take place in the right-hand side of the brain - is sufficient in itself to bring about the beginnings of this realisation. If you imagine something, or think about it, then it already exists in an invisible form, like a fertile egg cell, which is just waiting to come to life. Yet how can I make sure that my dreams and desires become reality, without any hindrance, and really do come true and not, as so often happens, once again disappointingly turn to dust? Most people have not been aware of this step - up to now. Yet it is as simple as fertilising an egg cell. Only when the left and right-hand side of the brain are aligned together, can the substance of our thoughts take shape automatically and purposefully, without any hindrance, until it reaches completion.

Book Description
An account of scientific laws that vindicates the status of psychological laws and shows natural laws to be compatible with free will. In Laws, Mind, and Free Will, Steven Horst addresses the apparent dissonance between the picture of the natural world that arises from the sciences and our understanding of ourselves as agents who think and act. If the mind and the world are entirely governed by natural laws, there seems to be no room left for free will to operate. Moreover, although the laws of physical science are clear and verifiable, the sciences of the mind seem to yield only rough generalizations rather than universal laws of nature. Horst argues that these two familiar problems in philosophy—the apparent tension between free will and natural law and the absence of "strict" laws in the sciences of the mind—are artifacts of a particular philosophical thesis about the nature of laws: that laws make claims about how objects actually behave. Horst argues against this Empiricist orthodoxy and proposes an alternative account of laws—an account rooted in a cognitivist approach to philosophy of science. Horst argues that once we abandon the Empiricist misunderstandings of the nature of laws there is no contrast between "strict" laws and generalizations about the mind ("ceteris paribus" laws, laws hedged by the caveat "other things being equal"), and that a commitment to laws is compatible with a commitment to the existence of free will. Horst's alternative account, which he calls "cognitive Pluralism," vindicates the truth of psychological laws and resolves the tension between human freedom and the sciences.

Book Description
Amoral, cunning, ruthless, and instructive, this multi-million-copy New York Times bestseller is the definitive manual for anyone interested in gaining, observing, or defending against ultimate control – from the author of The Laws of Human Nature. In the book that People magazine proclaimed “beguiling” and “fascinating,” Robert Greene and Joost Elffers have distilled three thousand years of the history of power into 48 essential laws by drawing from the philosophies of Machiavelli, Sun Tzu, and Carl Von Clausewitz and also from the lives of figures ranging from Henry Kissinger to P.T. Barnum. Some laws teach the need for prudence (“Law 1: Never Outshine the Master”), others teach the value of confidence (“Law 28: Enter Action with Boldness”), and many recommend absolute self-preservation (“Law 15: Crush Your Enemy Totally”). Every law, though, has one thing in common: an interest in total domination. In a bold and arresting two-color package, The 48 Laws of Power is ideal whether your aim is conquest, self-defense, or simply to understand the rules of the game.

Book Description
This book is mainly based on the seven Hermetic Principles of Reality and Being as described in the Hermetic text “The Kybalion: A Study of the Hermetic Philosophy of Ancient Egypt and Greece” and it could be considered its commentary. The seven Laws of Reality can be considered as the essential principles of all the western and eastern spiritual wisdom traditions and can be employed in order to realize one's real nature of Pure Being and change one’s life conditions and circumstances. In final analysis, Truth is always found to be the same whether stated in modern scientific terms or in the language of ancient religion or philosophy, the only difference being in the form of presentation, always bearing in mind that no human formula will ever be able to describe every side of it. Part one of the book describes the seven Hermetic Laws or Principles which govern Reality: the Principle of Mind, the Principle of Cause and Effect, the Principle of Vibration, the Principle of Correspondence, the Principle of Polarity (or Opposites), the Principle of Rhythm (or Cyclicity) and the Principle of Gender. Part two offers many useful methods that can be employed in order to realize one's nature of Pure Being and change one’s conditions and circumstances by working with the seven Hermetic Laws of Reality.

Book Description
How is life related to the mind? The question has long confounded philosophers and scientists, and it is this so-called explanatory gap between biological life and consciousness that Evan Thompson explores in Mind in Life. Thompson draws upon sources as diverse as molecular biology, evolutionary theory, artificial life, complex systems theory, neuroscience, psychology, Continental Phenomenology, and analytic philosophy to argue that mind and life are more continuous than has previously been accepted, and that current explanations do not adequately address the myriad facets of the biology and phenomenology of mind. Where there is life, Thompson argues, there is mind: life and mind share common principles of self-organization, and the self-organizing features of mind are an enriched version of the self-organizing features of life. Rather than trying to close the explanatory gap, Thompson marshals philosophical and scientific analyses to bring unprecedented insight to the nature of life and consciousness. This synthesis of phenomenology and biology helps make Mind in Life a vital and long-awaited addition to his landmark volume The Embodied Mind: Cognitive Science and Human Experience (coauthored with Eleanor Rosch and Francisco Varela). Endlessly interesting and accessible, Mind in Life is a groundbreaking addition to the fields of the theory of the mind, life science, and phenomenology.
