Book Description
SUMMARY In the offered work, unlike the majority of formal theories, the author considers a problem of gravitation with causally consecutive point of view. By logic of researches of known facts and existing theories of this direction, he comes to conclusion about unknown fundamental property of a matter causing the gravitational phenomena. The authors explanation is not difficult to mastering both with causal and quantitative points of view. However, it demands deep changes in accepted beliefs and approaches. On the basis of the offered causal essence of gravitation, the author deduces the law of universal gravitation of Newton; he defines the theoretical value of a gravitational constant and calculates known gravitational effects, with the use of simple mathematical reasoning only. The subsequent results of the offered concept are corresponding with the checked up results of Einsteins general theory of relativity (GTR). However, for planned new experiments, on detection of gravitational waves and gravymagnetic effect, negative results are predicted. The mentioned circumstance may allow judging about value of the offered explanation in a not-far future. Despite of complexities of the studied problem, the book is narrated in a free, polemical style, stipulated for a wide range of readers. * The picture used on the cover is the Galaxy Andromeda M 31, from site www.ASTROLAB.ru . Book Description
Gravity and Gravitation is a physics book that is written in a form that is easy to understand for high school and beginning college students, as well as science buffs. It is based on the lessons from the School for Champions educational website. The book explains the principles of gravity and gravitation, shows derivations of important gravity equations, and provides applications of those equations. It also compares the different theories of gravitation, from those of Newton to Einstein to present-day concepts.

Book Description
For many years Maxwell's equations were mute testimony to the Lorentz coordinate transformations of special relativity, but the significance of this transformation was not fully understood until relativity itself had been discovered. The author of this book claims that an oversight has once again occurred in fundamental physics. A direct link between Quantum Mechanics and Gravity - perhaps the biggest scientific enigma of all time - has been overlooked. In an entirely novel approach to Quantum-Gravity, this book suggests that Gravity is the manifestation of a very weak non-linearity in Quantum Mechanics; a non-linearity only apparent in the presence of large quantities of matter or very condensed wave functions. The reader will discover how this non-linearity is a natural consequence of a particular interpretation of the Quantum Equations. This book however, does not share the same genre of totalising theories that emphatically and triumphantly declare a new dawn. Instead its thesis can only present itself as a fascinating hypothesis submitted for consideration. Should the theory presented here prove its mettle, then it would provide the key to opening up new vistas of theoretical and experimental research, thus helping to clear the conceptual log jam in which contemporary fundamental physics finds itself.

Book Description
Consciousness has become a major topic of scientific interest, and dozens of books have been written in recent years to explain it, yet it still remains a mystery. Science and the Riddle of Consciousness explains why consciousness is a riddle for science, and demonstrates how this riddle can be solved. The questions examined in the book speak directly to neuroscientists, computer scientists, psychologists, and philosophers.
