Book Description
We've been sold a lie: The world tells us that pain is inevitable, that our bodies must break down as we age, and that there's nothing we can do about it. Researchers develop new drugs to manage our pain; surgeons dream up new techniques to repair worn-out joints. But we never truly feel better. Here's the shocking truth: The vast majority of the pain that plagues our aging bodies is self-inflicted. It's caused by the way we use our bodies every day: the way we sit, the way we stand, the way we walk and run, even the way you open a jar of pasta sauce. But with simple exercises, anybody can learn to heal their chronic musculoskeletal pain, and prevent future pain, injury, and joint problems from developing. The Pain Relief Secret explores the fascinating science of pain, and instructs readers in Clinical Somatics, a method of neuromuscular education that relieves chronic muscle tightness, restores natural posture and movement, and eliminates pain. Students of Clinical Somatics have healed from chronic back pain, joint and nerve pain, scoliosis, and many other common pain conditions. Best of all, Clinical Somatics puts the power in your hands. You don't need special training or expensive repeat visits to a physical therapist. Clinical Somatics exercises are practiced on your own and in your very own home. This is The Pain Relief Secret: your key to taking back your body from a lifetime of pain. This book is great for anyone who has tried surgery, drugs, chiropractic treatments, naturopathy, yoga, physiotherapy, or massage therapy and still experiences chronic pain.

Book Description
Do you want to learn how to reduce chronic pain and prevent acute phases by act on your lifestyle and get rid of pain? If yes, then keep reading... Pain is an essential sign of disease and attempts to treat physiological pain should not be done before it is determined that the pain not be a sign of a treatable disease. When that has been ruled out, treatment of the pain can be initiated. Acute pain can be treated successfully and safely by opioids and NSAIDs. The treatments that are in routine use for the common forms of physiological (acute) pain are many, and they differ mainly with regards to their side effects, costs, and the involvement of the person with pain that the individual methods require. In general, the treatment for physiological pain is dominated by medications many of which can be obtained without a prescription, but pain medications that require a prescription are also in everyday use. Some of these medications are also effective for pathological pain, but for some kinds of pathological pain, the effectiveness of common pain medications is less than what it is for physiological pain. As earlier in this, pain often has two different expressions; one being the perception (feeling) of the pain and the other being the adverse (adverse) effect of the pain also often referred to as suffering. Treating the suffering component seems more important for restoring a person's quality of life than treating the feeling of pain because the suffering reduces a person's quality of life more than the feeling of pain. Many medications, such as opioids, act mainly on the suffering aspect of pain, and they may not change the perception of pain much. Unfortunately, the use of opioids must be restricted because of risks of addiction and risk of death from overdose. It is often possible to manage a person's pain, which means reducing the adverse effects of the pain as much as possible and it is possible to restore the person's quality of life to the greatest extent. A patient who is being treated for pain may say "I still have my pain, but it does not bother me anymore." A treatment that gives that response from a patient may be regarded as an effective treatment although the patient still feels pain. Proper management of pain can make life better for many patients. People often are searching for treatments that can completely solve their problems instead of to improve their situation. People often underestimate how side effects can affect their lives, and physicians and often surgeons are not too eager to discuss side effects. This book covers the following topics: ✅ What is the pain and inflammation? ✅ Pain and nervous system ✅ Memory of pain ✅ Stress and pain ✅ Common pain treatments ✅ Hypnosis for pain management. ✅ Pain and acupuncture. ✅ Pain Medication ✅ Breathing Exercise ✅ Understanding your Pain ✅ Strategies for Treating Pain ✅ Relaxation Can Relieve Your Pain ...And much more A severe obstacle to achieving effective pain control is the way pain medications are administered. The possibility to affect pain conditions through a change in daily living has begun to win acceptance. A healthy lifestyle can improve many health problems including pain. Physical exercise, keeping a healthy weight and healthy eating with some supplements particularly Omega 3 and some vitamins can have beneficial effects although it may be difficult to pinpoint the effects. It Is Possible to Recover from Chronic Pain We've been sold a lie: the world tells us that pain is unavoidable, that our bodies must break down as we age, and that there's nothing we can do about it. Researchers are coming up with new medications to treat our pain, and surgeons are coming up with new ways to mend joints that have worn out. But we never really get over our ill feelings. Here's a shocking truth: most of the pain that comes with getting older is caused by ourselves. The positions in which we spend most of our waking hours-sitting, standing, walking, and running-are directly responsible for its development. But anyone can learn to repair their chronic musculoskeletal pain with easy exercises. By doing so, they can also avoid further pain, damage, and joint problems from occurring in the future. The Pain Relieving Secret looks at the fascinating science of pain and teaches readers about Clinical Somatics, a method of neuromuscular education that can relieve chronic muscle tightness, restore natural posture and movement, and get rid of pain without drugs or surgery. Students of Clinical Somatics have reported healing from various joint pain issues, including scoliosis, chronic back pain, joint and nerve pain, and many others, without the use of medicine or surgery. Best of all, Clinical Somatics empowers you. You do not require specialized training or costly appointments with a physical therapist regularly. Book Description
SAVE TIME AND MONEY BY TAKING CHARGE OF YOUR HEALTH! Having treated thousands of clients over more than a decade and supervised hundreds of trained physiotherapists in one of Australia's leading health care groups, few people are better positioned to give advice on physical health and wellness than International Author and Speaker Jason Smith. Written in plain English, this unique book will change your life by combining timeproven and medically sound principles with an innovative philosophy of selfempowerment. You will Discover: * The secret to wellness is a lot more than being "uninjured" or pain-free * Crucial health advice that doctors and therapists rarely have time to share with you * The importance of physical movement to living longer and enjoying life * Innovative strategies to reduce pain immediately and make a fast recovery * How to assess which treatment options are best for you * Proven approaches to achieving lasting results from each physiotherapy session, and not 'lose the benefits' over time * How to save time and money by not becoming dependent on your practitioner The Back In Motion Story - A Simple Philosophy Back in Motion Health Group first emerged as a concept or desire to operate a first class physiotherapy practice which offered clients' holistic solutions, sustainable outcomes, genuine and ongoing after-care , and was altogether encapsulated in relating to people with prestige and dignity. The more traditional physiotherapy practice models observed at the time certainly did not reflect these found values or philosophies of care. Back in Motion Health Group commenced as a small practice in the home of founders, Jason and Paulina Smith, in September 1999. Their early success resulted in quick growth and by April 2000 had moved the practice from their home into more suitable commercial medical facilities. An expert and committed team soon gathered around Jason and Paulina as they focused on emerging as one of the choice physiotherapy providers and employers in our industry.
