Book Description
Dr. George M. Lamsa, translator of The Bible from Aramaic texts, authored a "Book of Wisdom" in the eastern style of writing like that of Kahlil Gibran. Set in what is believed to be the Ancient "Garden of Eden" referred to in the Bible, Dr. Lamsa writes beautifully and metaphorically about an ancient shrine called Korra-Jenney and the people who visited the shrine bringing their hopes and sorrows to God. He speaks about "Life" things; Love, sorrow and happiness, religion, prayer, and afterlife, to name a few. Written in the sixties, Dr. Lamsa shares great wisdom even for us today.

Book Description
Would the contents of an ancient Egyptian scroll when deciphered threaten the three major religions of the world? Étienne Cloutier, a French-Canadian archaeologist, is asked by his longtime friend and colleague Haroun Abdul el-Kurdi, Department Head of Antiquities and the Cairo Museum, to come to Egypt to decipher a perplexing scroll that has just surfaced. He is told the author is none other than Moses. From the very start, there are outside forces trying to get hold of the scroll. His acceptance to do the deciphering sets off a series of events that threatens his very life. When the scroll is deciphered, it reveals that its contents are purely religious and discloses Moses' early religious concepts. It is these new concepts that Moses would later pass on to the Children of Israel. When a meeting with the religious heads of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam is held and the contents and author of the scroll are revealed, hostility breaks out. In the end, it is the Vatican ambassador to Egypt who pleads that the scroll be kept a secret, hidden away, even suggesting that it be destroyed.

Book Description
The University Museum has been involved in Mesoamerican archaeology for more than a century. Its collections include material from northern Mexico to Costa Rica and represent all of the major cultures of the region. This guide allows the visitor to gain on-site understanding and the off-site reader to grasp how the Museum's collections fit into current archaeological theory. The text underscores some of the pan-Mesoamerican aspects of pre-Columbian peoples and the way each group interpreted underlying similarities to create individual customs and beliefs, burials and caches, beauty and adornment. The guide focuses on the unique aspects of the collection, much of it stemming from the Museum's own excavations, including eight large carved limestone monuments from its historic early excavations at Piedras Negras, Guatemala (1931-39) and Caracol, Belize (1951-53), the only group of original Maya monuments on display in an American museum. The inscriptions on these monuments are reproduced in detail, accompanied by translations and explanations drawing on the latest epigraphic research. Also included are important pieces from the Guatemala highlands; figurines and carvings collected in the early nineteenth century by the U.S. ambassador to Mexico; as well as significant material from Central America, including the famous carved alabaster vases from the Uloa Valley in Honduras.

All to bring the true king back to power. Though lacking the qualities of a skilled warrior, the true King of Varveria anoints Illian as the "Chosen One" and gives him a stone prophesied to crush the evil king's tyranny. Plain to the ordinary eye, the Stone contains great powers. It's up to Illian and a small band of friends, each with unique gifts, to discover the Stone's true purpose.
