Book Description
The Richer(TM) Woman is the true story of a young woman's pursuit of wealth, taking her on a journey of career validation, personal identity, marital conflict, adultery and spiritual enlightenment, and leading her to the discovery of true wealth and purpose.A certified wealth and life coach, Omilola Oshikoya's autobiographical debut is packed with wealth and life-coaching tips to help every woman live the Richer(TM) life: a truly well-rounded life that is successful, without the need to compromise on personal relationships in order to gain financial success.ForwardMy husband and I read the draft copy of the RicherWoman that was sent to us with a mixture of excitement andapprehension. Excitement, because of the candour andrealness of the content - and the balm we knew it would befor many for that very reason - and apprehension, for thesame reason. We wondered if sharing so much would makeOmilola vulnerable to attack. But I sat back on completion, really awed and inspired by her courage. I realise herpersonal story and journey is critical to the healing power ofthis book. It's this dangerous vulnerability that is sopowerful. Even in 2017, it's rare, especially in Christiancircles, to experience this level of truth. In John 8:32, Jesussaid '.... the truth will set you free'. I believe Omilola's truthwill set many free. From the initial details of her fledging love life insecondary school days to the more tumultuous universityromance, and then onto meeting the man who would be herhusband, we see the lessons she needed to learn unfoldingthrough the choices she makes, and we see the consequencesthat follow. We see how her brokenness drove her to makepoor relationship choices and to build a career that robbedher family life, and we see God's redeeming grace woven in as'Mr Mysterious' arrives on the scene. We see how asfrustrations, accidents and God's whispers lead her into acareer of purpose. We learn that, far from being just a funky 10slogan, 'Do it Afraid' is something she's lived. It's been both aspringboard into purpose and a continual source of challengeto reach higher and do better.Don't be fooled! While this is an 'equipping book' -skilling you, especially in part C, to fulfill potential - itscentral message is about much more than career prominenceand success; it is also about growing into a godly wife andmother, and discovering yourself as a unique human beingand an object of divine love. It's about learning to loveyourself and discover your unique path through this world. It's a story of discovering God, growing in God and walkingwith God.The book's conversational style is endearing andenchanting. It ropes you in, like the aromas wafting out of acandy store draw you in as you walk by, and delivers truth ina sweet and accessible manner. I know this book will makeyou chuckle, reflect on your life, reconsider your prioritiesand provoke your faith. Then Omilola's goal will be realized: to challenge you to start your journey to becoming the Richerwoman God made you to be.Are you ready? Book Description
No woman in the Gilded Age made as much money as Hetty Green, America’s first female tycoon. A strong woman who forged her own path, she was worth at least $100 million by the end of her life in 1916—equal to about $2.5 billion today. Green was mocked for her simple Quaker ways and her unfashionable frugality in an era of opulence and excess; the press even nicknamed her “The Witch of Wall Street.” But those who knew her admired her wit and wisdom, and while financiers around her rose and fell as financial bubbles burst, she steadily amassed a fortune that supported businesses, churches, municipalities, and even the city of New York. Janet Wallach’s engrossing biography reveals striking parallels between past financial crises and current recession woes, and speaks not only to history buffs but to today’s investors, who just might learn a thing or two from Hetty Green.

Book Description
A revolution is under way. Within a generation, more households will be supported by women than by men. In this book the author takes us to the frontier of this new economic order. She shows us why this flip is inevitable, what painful adjustments will have to be made along the way, and how both men and women will feel surprisingly liberated in the end. Couples today are debating who must assume the responsibility of primary earner and who gets the freedom of being the slow track partner. With more men choosing to stay home, she shows how that lifestyle has achieved a higher status, and the ways males have found to recover their masculinity. And the revolution is global: she takes us from Japan to Denmark to show how both sexes are adapting as the marriage market has turned into a giant free-for-all, with men and women at different stages of this transformation finding partners who match their expectations. This book is an analysis of the most important cultural shift since the rise of feminism: the coming era in which women will earn more than men, and how this will change work, love, and sex.

Book Description
This irreverent manifesto sparked both conversation and controversy when it made its debut as a hardcover in 2009. From essays in The Wall Street Journal to debates in the blogosphere, women weighed in on the book's provocative message, which ultimately challenges the ideals and assumptions we've blindly accepted about love and marriage. Smart Girls Marry Money is a hard-hitting indictment on society (peppered with plenty of wry observations) that empowers women with a new way to take control of their economic and romantic lives. Now in a paperback edition, there will be more ''smart Girls'' who will join in on the heated debate on how we can make healthier (and wealthier!) marriages.

Book Description
The biographical essays in this volume provide new insights into the various ways that South Carolina women asserted themselves in their state and illuminate the tension between tradition and change that defined the South from the Civil War through the Progressive Era. As old rules—including gender conventions that severely constrained southern women—were dramatically bent if not broken, these women carved out new roles for themselves and others. The volume begins with a profile of Laura Towne and Ellen Murray, who founded the Penn School on St. Helena Island for former slaves. Subsequent essays look at such women as the five Rollin sisters, members of a prominent black family who became passionate advocates for women’s rights during Reconstruction; writer Josephine Pinckney, who helped preserve African American spirituals and explored conflicts between the New and Old South in her essays and novels; and Dr. Matilda Evans, the first African American woman licensed to practice medicine in the state. Intractable racial attitudes often caused women to follow separate but parallel paths, as with Louisa B. Poppenheim and Marion B. Wilkinson. Poppenheim, who was white, and Wilkinson, who was black, were both driving forces in the women’s club movement. Both saw clubs as a way not only to help women and children but also to showcase these positive changes to the wider nation. Yet the two women worked separately, as did the white and black state federations of women’s clubs. Often mixing deference with daring, these women helped shape their society through such avenues as education, religion, politics, community organizing, history, the arts, science, and medicine. Women in the mid- and late twentieth century would build on their accomplishments.
