Book Description
In "The Pathway Towards Peace: U.S. Human Rights Manifesto," Jánelle Marina Méndez Viera exposes the American billionaire patriarchy's strategic takeover of democracy and delves into the intersection of two social scientific theories regarding racism thought to be conflicting and synthesizes both concepts into her theory of psychosocial racism and sexism. Through her own experiences as a child-sex slave in the U.S. Marine Corps and through her work leading the Military Sexual Trauma Movement, Méndez Viera as a human rights executive and movement leader, she shines a light on the dark side of the tourism industry and American exports, by relocating to the Dominican Republic to investigate the experiences of enslaved Haitians. She connects modern slavery in the Caribbean to the radicalization of boys and men in the U.S. military and the role mass communication plays in their indoctrination. This powerful manifesto is a compelling account of one woman's resistance and fight for the abolition of modern slavery in the Western Hemisphere. Jánelle Marina Méndez Viera not only exposes the threat to democracy and the junction of racism and sexism in American society, but she also predicts the January 6th Insurrection six weeks before it occurs. On November 11th, 2020, in a speech in Washington D.C. at a press conference she organized called, "Fight for our Freedom", she warns of a looming national security issue involving veterans and Marines. Through her development of the radicalization pipeline model, Méndez Viera is able to accurately predict and assess risks in order protect herself from violent attacks on her life. Méndez Viera uses her extensive knowledge and expertise to guide and educate Americans on how to defend democracy and create lasting peace. Her theory of psychosocial racism, sexism and misogyny posits that these systemic issues are psychological delusions that evolve into social constructs when mass media creates propaganda on behalf of billionaire patriarchy. Loyal audiences usually made up of male involuntary celibates are intentionally recruited on to the radicalization pipeline through google queries that respond to self-help questions such as “how do I get girls to like me or how do I attract women?” The manosphere then places bids on google searches and returns dating gurus like Andrew Tate who indoctrinate men and teen boys through mid-level radicalization by showing them misogynistic content that externalizes their insecurities to make these men and boys hate women and minorities. They become defenders of patriarchy and fight against feminism, civil rights and social justice through coordinated online harassment, threats, physical violence and domestic terrorism. Méndez Viera lays out how to spot the red flags early on and discusses what society can do to create peace and minimize the recruitment into the radicalization pipeline. Méndez Viera analyses the illicit sex markets in the Western Hemisphere compared to legalized and regulated markets around the world. She investigates sexual violence, slavery and prostitution in the Caribbean and its ties to chattel slavery while discussing legalized and regulated markets in Nevada and the Netherlands that have higher levels of protection, safety and workers' rights. These areas have been able to reduce child sexual slavery through the regulated sex markets. Méndez Viera discusses the combining regulation, legalization and psychological therapy for involuntary celibate males can be a powerful tool for preventing recruitment into the radicalization pipeline and thus preventing gender violence, mass violence, modern slavery and domestic terrorism in the United States of America.

Book Description
The Motivation Manifesto is a poetic and powerful call to reclaim your life and find your own personal freedom from Brendon Burchard – the world’s #1 high performance coach and #1 New York Times bestselling author of High Performance Habits. “It’s a triumphant work that transcends the title, lifting the reader from mere motivation into a soaringly purposeful and meaningful life. I love this book." —Paulo Coelho The Motivation Manifesto is a call to claim our personal power. World-renowned high performance trainer Brendon Burchard reveals that the main motive of humankind is the pursuit of greater Personal Freedom. We desire the grand liberties of choice—time freedom, emotional freedom, social freedom, financial freedom, spiritual freedom. Only two enemies stand in our way: an external enemy, defined as the social oppression of who we are by the mediocre masses, and an internal enemy, a sort of self-oppression caused by our own doubt and fear. The march to Personal Freedom, Brendon says, can be won only by declaring our intent and independence, stepping into our personal power, and battling through self-doubt and the distractions of the day until full victory is won. Recalling the revolutionist voices of the past that chose freedom over tyranny, Brendon motivates us to free ourselves from fear and take back our lives once and for all. In this life-changing personal growth book, Brendon presents his nine declarations for personal power and motivation, drawing on insights from his own personal journey and from the lives of some of history's greatest leaders and thinkers. Each chapter focuses on one of the nine declarations, offering practical strategies and exercises to help you apply these principles to your life. Whether you're seeking to overcome self-doubt, boost your confidence, or achieve your goals, The Motivation Manifesto is an invaluable guide to unlocking your full potential. With its inspiring message and actionable advice, this bestselling book is a must-read for anyone who wants to unleash their inner greatness with the power of determination, resilience, and an empowering mindset.

Book Description
Once in a great while, a book is written that substantially changes the way people think about a particular subject. Will War Ever End? is such a book. Written as a “manifesto for waging peace” by an active duty captain in the US Army, Will War Ever End? challenges readers to think about peace, war and violence in radically new ways. “Are human beings naturally violent?” “What is hatred?” “How can love overcome the power of hatred?” “How does nonviolence overcome the power of violence?” “How can we prove that unconditional love makes us psychologically healthy and that hatred, just like an illness, occurs when something has gone wrong?” “How does violence against the natural world relate to violence between human beings?” These are all questions that Captain Paul K. Chappell leads us to consider in a strikingly new way. In Will War Ever End?, Chappell demonstrates that human beings are naturally peaceful and that world peace can become more than a cliché. He lays out a practical framework for transforming the way we think about war and violence, enabling us to begin the real work we must do in order to achieve true peace for mankind. Will War Ever End? is a deeply personal story of a soldier’s search for human understanding that will lead to universal transformation. Its message is one of hope, offering practical solutions to help us build a better world. We can all make change. Now is the time to begin.

Book Description
This is a book about two forms of service that may appear contradictory: war-fighting and peacemaking, military service and social entrepreneurship. In 2001, Marine officer-in-training Rye Barcott cofounded a nongovernmental organization with two Kenyans in the Kibera slum of Nairobi. Their organization-Carolina for Kibera-grew to become a model of a global movement called participatory development, and Barcott continued volunteering with CFK while leading Marines in dangerous places. It Happened on the Way to War is a true story of heartbreak, courage, and the impact that small groups of committed citizens can make in the world.

Book Description
On the world stage, the Holy See acts as both a religious and a political actor. As the head of over 1.2 billion Catholics, the pope is a widely recognized spiritual authority. Politically, the Holy See maintains diplomatic relations with other states and actively participates in international organizations such as the United Nations. A Living Tradition examines the normative sources and the dilemmas underpinning papal diplomacy. It does so in the context of four diverse case studies: the Vietnam War, John Paul II and Poland, the United Nations conferences in Cairo and Beijing, and the global campaign for debt relief. While Catholic Social Doctrine offers a principled basis for Holy See diplomacy, living out religious norms is more complicated than simply preaching them, especially in global politics. This process leads to political and ethical policy dilemmas as well as to changing patterns of conflict and cooperation with other international actors. By drawing upon unpublished archival documents from five countries, A Living Tradition offers a fresh and interdisciplinary view of both Catholic Social Doctrine and papal diplomacy that explores a key issue of the religious resurgence we are experiencing in the twenty-first century: how religious traditions function in global politics.

Book Description
There is, literally, a world of difference between the statements "Everyone should have adequate food," and "Everyone has the right to adequate food." In George Kent's view, the lofty rhetoric of the first statement will not be fulfilled until we take the second statement seriously. Kent sees hunger as a deeply political problem. Too many people do not have adequate control over local resources and cannot create the circumstances that would allow them to do meaningful, productive work and provide for themselves. The human right to an adequate livelihood, including the human right to adequate food, needs to be implemented worldwide in a systematic way. Freedom from Want makes it clear that feeding people will not solve the problem of hunger, for feeding programs can only be a short-term treatment of a symptom, not a cure. The real solution lies in empowering the poor. Governments, in particular, must ensure that their people face enabling conditions that allow citizens to provide for themselves. In a wider sense, Kent brings an understanding of human rights as a universal system, applicable to all nations on a global scale. If, as Kent argues, everyone has a human right to adequate food, it follows that those who can empower the poor have a duty to see that right implemented, and the obligation to be held morally and legally accountable, for seeing that that right is realized for everyone, everywhere.
