The genesis of this compilation of essays was, as mentioned in the included essay A Premature Grieving, the publication in 2019, by political advocacy group, of various unsubstantiated allegations and disinformation about me and the subsequent repetition of such allegations and disinformation by some mainstream newspapers and media outlets.
