Each young man had kept his car in tip top shape. Polished until the sun was like an orb that reflected the endearment shown his love. That love was not misplaced. Like a trusted old horse, when needed it would take the saddle. Then to muster forth as the challenge was issued by the throated rumble when the boots pumped the throttle. Reflections sometimes grow dim with the passage of the years. The trails embarked upon take us to different places to meet new faces and garner a taste of an intriguing love. And when at a crossroads by chance perhaps the meeting shares the memories. That faint rumble, like a distant thunder still invokes the passion.
