Book Description
This true crime investigation into the notorious case of Kieran Kelly reveals “new twists that add further intrigue to the mystery” (Irish Post). On the evening of August 21,1983, Metropolitan Police detectives raced to London’s Clapham Police Station to find a prisoner dead. His cellmate sat quietly in the corner. Kieran Kelly, a laborer from Ireland, calmly confessed to strangling the prisoner—and then stunned officers by confessing to dozens of unreported and unsolved murders over the previous 30 years. Kelly may have been Britain’s most prolific serial killer, yet he was convicted on just two of his admissions. In 2015, a former police officer who worked on the case made a bombshell accusation: that Kelly' crimes were covered up by the British Government. Strangulations, murders on the London Underground, an internal Metropolitan Police review—as the story’s elements whipped the international news media into a frenzy, journalist Robert Mulhern set off from London to rural Ireland on a methodical search for the truth. Could Kieran Kelly really have murdered 31 times?

Book Description
The full story of the life and times of Kieran Patrick Kelly, the London Underground Serial Killer, who wandered up and down the Northern Line of the London Underground between 1960 and 1983, pushing innocent people that he had never met under trains, and who finished up killing over thirty people. The book provides a full biography of Kelly, discussing the details of his crimes, his victims and his ability to evade justice; he managed to secure mistrials or acquittals in twenty-five trials before being eventually convicted and sentenced to die to prison, which he did in Durham, in 2001. It could be argued that Kelly is the most investigated serial killer in the history of the world. His murders were investigated as they occurred between 1953 and 1983; they were reinvestigated in 1983 and again in 2015. The author of this book played major roles in the two latter inquiries, conducting the entire inquiry in 1983 and acting as a consultant to the 2015 inquiry. More is known about Kelly than any other serial killer in history. He was arrested before he had finished killing, then murdered his cellmate in the police station and was interviewed by the author ten minutes after this final murder, before spending the next two years discussing his crimes and his motivations with the author. The end result is a truly unique insight into the mind of a serial killer!

Book Description
The true crimes of one of nineteenth century England’s most notorious thieves and killers, whose exploits still capture the public’s imagination. Once immortalized in Madame Tussauds’s Chamber of Horrors, and brought to life in two silent films, his gnarled and prematurely aged features would be the last image his victims ever saw, yet ironically, he was known by the name of Peace. A grotesque figure who took on many names and many faces, he could slip into the home of an unsuspecting family with the silent stealth of a cool night time breeze, and leave without a trace. Spending his nocturnal hours limping through the dirty streets with villainy on his mind, and impishly disappearing into the industrial smoke that hung over Victorian Sheffield like a perpetual storm cloud, this devil wrote his own place in the folklore of his hometown. Committing one gruesome crime after the next, he was the most wanted man in England for a time. Tales of burglary, murder, daring escapes, and a truly shocking miscarriage of justice feature in Charlie Peace along with moments of lost love, damaged pride, and violent revenge. Ben W. Johnson’s biography tells the chilling story of a man who turned to crime through necessity, but consciously chose to continue in an ever spiraling life of wickedness.

Book Description
The Squad that investigated The Great Train Robbery. "The Old Grey Fox" or "One Day Tommy" (Detective Chief Superintendent Tommy Butler) selected six of the best officers on the elite Metropolitan Police Flying Squad to investigate the Crime of the Century, but whilst many books have been written by and about every criminal arrested for this crime, NONE have been written about the detectives who traced and tracked them. Tommy Butler delayed his retirement to complete the job, but died a few months after he retired at 57 years of age, the only detective of his rank in the late 1950s and 1960s not to publish an autobiography.??This book provides a detailed account of the men tasked with tracking down the most notorious thieves in British history. It examines the investigation in detail and asks how it would contrast with the methods used today should a similar incident take place.??Geoff Platt examines what happened to these men after the investigation was closed and the effect it had on both their personal and professional lives.

Book Description
This book delves into the twisted psychology of women attracted to some of the most notorious monsters on the planet, giving true crime readers real insight into this phenomena One of the most common reasons given by women who date serial killers is the fact that they ‘see’ the little boy that the horrible man once used to be, and they believe that they can nurture that kid, hence removing the cruel and harmful nature of the killers and making them amicable again. Known as ‘serial killer groupies’ or even ‘prison groupies’ by some, a great number of these women have shown a surprising desire to get connected to the serial killer of their choice. A large number of these women have become directly aligned with these killers, and some have even married these hardened criminals. Groupies will do almost anything to get close to the prisoner that they are attracted to. They give up jobs, family, spend money on him, and even move across country to be in the same town as him. Some SKG's are attracted to the celebrity status they acquire. They go on talk shows to announce their undying love for the serial killer and proclaim that he was not capable of these killings. This book depicts several such cases and you'll meet some of these SKG's. "If you seek to understand or study the unexplainable, this book may be your key to some grasp of what is beyond imagining....why some women love serial killers!" -- (Bernard Lee DeLeo), bestselling author of over twenty-five novels "The obsessed groupies of predators such as Richard Ramirez (The Night Stalker) are just as fascinating as the serial killers they love. Best-selling author RJ Parker offers powerful insights into the needs, motivations and dark desires of women who pursue and sometimes marry the most infamous killers in history. This powerful psychological examination of these women is not to be missed. Well researched, Parker sheds new light on the curious sub-culture of groupies in his new true crime book, SERIAL KILLER GROUPIES" -- (Scott Bonn, PhD) Professor, criminologist and author of Why We Love Serial Killers: The Curious Appeal of the World's Most Savage Murderers

Book Description
The story is now thirty years old and most, if not all, of the characters involved were middle aged men at the time and are now dead. The story did make the national press when it first occurred. A murder in a Police Station is big news and something to beat the Police with. However, when it was found that 12 people had been pushed under underground trains in London by a man that they did not know, the government felt that it might lead to mass hysteria and put a lid on the story with the press.??The officers involved were a small, select, cadre of elite Flying Squad and Serious Crime Squad officers from South London, the same ones who had been dealing with the Krays, Richardsons, Brinks Mat etc. Their methods were unorthodox and recorded in the best selling "Untouchables" book. They were several extreme and unusual and certainly unorthodox, tactics. Officers kidnapped senior Home Office officials and detained them until the Old Bailey judge issued a summons and threatened a warrant in 5 minutes. At the committal the judge, prosecution, defence and everybody had to step over the start witness and he vomitted on the judge's shoes. Witnesses being murdered. Other witnesses being locked up it secret cells to protect them from being murdered.??The Attorney General was satisfied that there was convincing evidence of all 16 murders that Kelly admitted. He was in prison for thirty years with only one or two days between sentences and all the murders co-incided with his absences from prison and before his next arrest. When protected by Police, most had been witnessed. In 12 cases Kelly had presented himself to Police as a star witness who had been talking to the poor depressed man about his unfaithful wife when the train arrived at the station and he jumped underneath it. The widow eventually lost her husband, her reputation, when kelly's story was told to the coroner, and her insurance money, when the death was ruled to be suicide. The A.G. authorised five murders to be charged, and instructed that prosecutions were to be discontinued and the remaining charges left on file as soon as two convictions were secured, as further prosecutions would not be in the public interest, due to their expence.
