With this view the book has been divided into Two Parts. The First Part deals with the statu tory enactments and decided cases relating to the carriage of goods, while the Second Part comprises the Provisional Orders of the Board of Trade as to Railway Rates and Charges on the Railways of Great Britain and Ireland as they have been confirmed by the various Acts of Parliament of the years 1891 and 1892. The chapters on the general Law relating to the Carriage of Goods have been kept as concise as possible, and although it is hoped' that the main points of principle have been fairly covered, an exhaustive treatise has not been intended.
